Xanadu NEXT, Little King's Story, Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus Head to PC in the West

Marvelous. Thats what it has to do.

Yes, Marvelous published Muramasa and Grand Knights History in Japan, but XSEED never touched those games.

Did they announce an actual release date for Senran Kagura Estival vs? All we have for now is winter 2015 and that is really soon...

XSEED doesn't announce release dates until right up before it happens. (Also, despite saying "winter 2015", that pretty much means 2016.)

Are any of the games they said are coming out this year coming out this year? Starting to think the EDF dates are placeholder dates too.

EDIT: Oh that's been pushed too.

With the notable exception of Corpse Party: Blood Drive, all dates attached to Xseed's future stuff are placeholders. If you're looking for ballpark dates, Marvelous Europe has historically been far more accurate.

Marvelous owns XSeed.
Aksys still has outside-of-Japan rights for Muramasa, though.

Well XSEED did have all of GKH translated, but it got shelved since Vanillaware focused on Dragon's Crown instead of sparing staff to program GKH. Was going to have a physical copy at the time, too...

They've got the first few months too front loaded now. There's no way some of these games aren't getting pushed back to next summer and next fall/winter.

SC is getting pushed to 2017.

Which games are you talking about? I think EDF and Cold Steel will probably make this year. Maybe early January for 1 or 2 of them.

Then there's Popolocrois and EV in Feb/March

Doesn't seem that bad

Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders from Planet Space
Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair
^(release dates are placeholders I have no reason to believe they are coming on the dates listed)
Nitroplus Blasterz
Senran Kagaura; EV
Popolocrois
Cold Steel
Trails SC

In addition to all the PC games

Some shit is going to get pushed waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back to late 2016/early 2017.

XSEED placeholders are always dates that they're trying to meet, sort of best case scenarios. They're not completely made up.

The EDF titles are going through final QA
SC is done with QA and is in master testing
Nitroplus Blasterz is a fighter that probably requires little localization work

And then you have Cold Steel, EV and Popolocrois. The PC titles are already spread out over 2016.

I think you're being way too dramatic.

Oh, yeah, about LKS PC: development is REALLY early. Screenshots are purely to show off the crisper textures. W.I.P.

For those wondering why LKS looks how it does currently.

It looks like the event was more of a hands on for the press than something for new announcements. Can't blame people for getting hyped up, it always happens without fail, but XSEED barely acknowledged it was happening. Probably because they didn't want people expecting too much.

Well, that had the exact opposite effect.
Better to set proper expectations next time. It's cool stuff, but not the cool stuff I was hoping for.

To be fair, they could have listed every game announcement under the sun and given release dates for each one of them, people would still find something to whine about in the end.

I'm just glad that we got videos for at least one of the things I care about, even if the salt runs freely when it comes to another release.

Is there any word on whether they're adding mouse/cursor support to Little King's Story? The lack of Wiimote pointer support was my one big gripe about the original game and it'd be cool to see it addressed on PC.

Little King's Story is a cool game that I stopped playing for some reason and never went back to.

Is XSEED teasing a new game?

It does look like they're hiding something. Probably the only discernible thing in that blurry ass pic, like a logo or something.
That's probably too vague even for detective gaf.

Looking at it closely, looks like either machinery or an elaborate costume.

As someone who's only played the Vita version of Little King's Story and enjoyed it, I'm very interested in seeing the original Wii version on PC. The apparently superior version on a more advanced platform (potentially with better controls even!) sounds fantastic.

All three will be mine especially Little King's Story - wanted it when it first came out on Vita but glad I waited.

It's a different game. It's the Wii game port.

This is as far as I'll go because there's really not much to work with but if I flip it around like this:

it seems some kind of structure is in the middle, the sky on the top left and on the bottom those kinda look like faces.

If this is a tease, it's going to need a big imagination. It's hard to tell which way is right now!

I'm super happy that Xanadu Next will be available officially in English. I hope everyone gives it a shot; it's so good.

Oh yeah, I played the original PC release a few years ago before it got a fan translation.

Looking forward to that official localization.

Also Little Kings Story on PC is awesome stuff.

Shinovi Versus is probably going to get modded to hell and back though.
