Notice how angry Rey is in this shot. She looks pissed, as if seeking revenge. This might be just after she was seen crying. Notice how the light of the blaster casts a red glint in her eyes, making her look menacing. Also notice the color of her blaster fire. It's red like a that of a sith's light saber.
A coincidence or clever foreshadowing?

I'm really loving the knights of ren from what little we've seen.
I love that they have unique armour and weapons (and the fact that they're not all melee weapons), and it's not just a load of red cross sabers, it just looks interesting and makes Kylo stand out way more.
Could be my eyes deceiving me, but that outline on the one on the far left.

Treating the Star Wars 'fanbase' as a whole there will always be people unsatisfied. But I think the majority will enjoy this. There's definitely things people will rage about though.
And this new guy who has no relation to either of them has his mom pilot both of them between the movies.
It's like Wedge or Han being on a school trip in the same shuttle as Anakin before Ep3 just so the writers can wink at the viewer.

I'm really loving the knights of ren from what little we've seen.
I love that they have unique armour and weapons (and the fact that they're not all melee weapons), and it's not just a load of red cross sabers, it just looks interesting and makes Kylo stand out way more.
The places they could go with this idea have so much potential. I love the idea of a cult developing around the former leaders of the Empire because it happens so much in history.
So, Han is going to die at the end of the first movie I guess.

And as soon as he has guided the audience to the new cast and they accept them, they will let him die. Of course it will be glorious, a real badass moment, as he deserves, but it will somehow be the end of old Star Wars and the real beginning of the new story.

These are still two people that are not as well trained as most people in saber fights we've seen, so I wonder if it will be a noob slog fest. That could be even more exciting though if it's more visceral and less precise.And hopefully no waltzing

I think it's a little premature to say what the consensus will be. It seems poised to be at least a solid popcorn flick. But that won't be enough for the fanbase.
I think anything less then Fellowship of the Rings esque accolades and audience enjoyment will be seen as a dissapointment. At least given the expectations people are putting on this. Avengers, Jurrasic World or normal Marvel movie reception won't cut it here it feels like.
Perhaps Rey is some sort of "grey Jedi"(which is a term that actually existed at some point)?

You guys are over-reacting.
Color denoting whether you are good or not only matters in lightsabers, not lasers. Rebels have always had red lasers, while the Imperials had green lasers. That doesn't mean the Rebels were the bad guys.
And of course, Finn has the blue side of the poster because he's male; while Rey is in the red side because she's female. They are simply contrasting colors to make it look more attractive and to make each of the main stars stand out, because you don't want both main characters to be under the same color because they will blend and not effectively fulfill contractual obligations.
It's from Episode 3. It's a gif of something that happens in less than one second, when Obi-Wan and Anakin are so mad at each other that for a few frames their blades don't touch.
