What? The Arcadia-esque map didn't make it in? WTF?!

If there's a Warzone Assault map variant of Raid on Apex 7, then no.. Arcadia did not make the cut.

EDIT: Just saw the Warzone Assault variant of Raid on Apex 7. NO Arcadia/New Mombasa city map at launch.
 
Game looks like everything i love about Destiny pvp without all of the crap that ruins Destiny pvp. Radars, supers, kill trading, and terrible customizations for game modes.

Nah. I stopped playing in November, and I have no plans to come back. Well, actually, I came back in May to try the PoE, but it was shit, so I only played for a week.

The loot chase and the MMO elements don't work on me anymore, and the gameplay/gunplay is just not that enjoyable. So yeah, no chance I'm coming back.

That isn't his point. The game revolving around "BR teamshooting" is a sandbox issue, which has mostly been resolved. He's saying the maps are poorly segmented.

I don't think him being a "pro" gives him authority over the game, but he isn't saying anything I didn't notice myself from the beta and gameplay thereafter. I doubt my opinion will be much different, although I think "unfocused, chaotic" gameplay can be alleviated with better weapon placement.
 
Sorry, but with Forge and Breakout maps counting towards the map count and now Warzone Assault maps just being the same Warzone maps, but cut-off at some point, it seems like a pretty weak map line-up.

Maybe Breakout should have launched at a later point (together with Forge for example), so they would have time to actually make more real maps and not put in 7 Forge maps into the game just to be able to say there's 21 maps at launch.

I'm heavily disappointed by this.

I mean yeah, the beta was like that for the most part. If the maps suck from a game play perspective then there isn't anything that would make them enjoyable especially with the crappy aesthetics. I hope this guy's is wrong and for what it's worth it enjoyed the maps in the beta that I played.

Wait what? The assault Warzone maps are just segmented regular warzone maps? Wow that's very disappointing.

I got the game early can MS ban ppl for playing early?

Legitimate means they won't ban you. Don't worry about it.

I agree. The map count seems to be getting a little thin. Hopefully the ones coming are quality and arrive soon.
 
You guys are mistaken about the warzone maps I think. There are 3 maps assault and 3 maps normal. But this is just the pre release playlist where it is mixed so now you get assault on the normal warzone maps too. Assault isn't on a shorter version of the normal map, it's the same map.

Those comments remind me of those horrible Halo games were people just pop their heads up from the same place ad nauseam. So, doesn't sound so bad to me except maybe for knowing what is going on in the map at a quick glance so I can understand that negative.
 
Warzone needs steitzer patched in. Just watched hysteria get a killtac and it was incredibly sterile and hype deflated without his voice.

We are saying the same thing as you. We know Warzone Assault and Warzone will be separate playlists at launch. But we have come to discover that Warzone Assault maps thus far are just slight variants on the normal Warzone maps but play like Rush/Invasion.

But without bosses and most AI, Warzone Assault is really just a 12 v 12 gametype rather than 12 v 12 v AI.
 
Im sad about what we are hearing from the map count ):, on the other hand forge seems awesome and if they add a forge playlist ill be happy as fuck.

If you expected completely original maps for warzone assault instead of battlefield style slices on the same map, your expectations were a little too high.

This is what I'm hoping...and don't forget invincible lagging red bar opponents. Hopefully dedicated servers mean that won't happen. I'm also frustrated with whatever they've done to the matchmaking that seems to constantly punish me for having a high KDR by putting me in unwinnable matches.

Lol i guess so. Problem is we had seen 4 warzone maps so i expected "Oh maybe the other two have not been shown yet" but in actuality the 4th is coming later and its 3 + 3 remixes.

So how do you take over the base in Assault? Do you damage a core or what?

First two bases are just normal capture points. Kill enough of the other team in the base allowing you to begin capturing. Once the capture meter is filled, move on to base 2 and repeat. Last point of the map is destroying the core.

Not really, since 6 maps means 6 maps and not 3 maps just duplicated.

Pretty much this. I'm okay with the Arena remixes, since those are actually pretty different, but counting smaller versions of the same map as a new map is uncool.

Sigh. H5 is still beating out Reach on the map quantity front, but it's a lot bleaker than I thought it would be.

I am not overly concerned with the number of maps, so long as the maps are good. Qualitiy over quantity. That being said, I haven't seen too maps opinions on the maps to know if the quality over quantity pays off.
 
I feel like WZ/Assault should just be in one playlist, would help alleviate the small map problem. They're probably putting a new map or two in by Christmas/Jan anyways.

My problem is less with the number of maps and more with 343 saying that there were 21 maps, 6 of which are Warzone.
Of those 21 we have 7 forge, 2 arena remixes and then the 3 Warzone "remixes"
 
Pretty sure the Assault maps use the same map assets but layout wise they're different and not just small sections of normal Warzone cut up. Hard to say though from the few games.

That's the way i'm seeing it. I feel like 343i with their constant playtests and playteam actually got some good polish on these maps before shipping them. None stand out to me to be a shitty map.
