LMAO yea exactly. I remember we got like 5 threads about how the lack of leaks / statements on the first party lineup this holiday somehow meant they didn't have anything to show. All that FUD made the conference that much more entertaining. Gotta love it.
Remember last year where they showed footage for first light, LBP3, The Order and Bloodborne before the conference even started?

Won't happen. If Insomniac was gonna be a part of WWS they would have been by now. They were making exclusive software for 15+ years for PlayStation hardware

So much short term memory, especially when it comes to expectation management. Gamescom have always delivered when it comes to games, even if not megatons, but somehow this time it'll be so different.
Well I mean. The North Carolina studio has only been making ratchet and clank game all this time for Sony. I mean insomniac games will still be independent in California but they just wont own the NC faction.
That's why I ask you all. If it were to happen would you be for it or you think they should let it be as it always has?

I was saying way back when Up Your Arsenal released and R&C was growing in popularity and some people looked at the series as a staple Playstation franchise that they should of picked them up around that point. Maybe they tried and Insomniac didn't want to become a first party studio. That is most likely the case. I mean Insomniac has been REAL close with the Playstation brand for a long time, especially peeps like Cerny and Ted Price who have known each other well since the days when Cerny was head of Universal.
Now though? No. They seem to have abandoned the idea of exclusive Playstation software and are even dabbing in VR now with an Oculus Rift title. So I think the time has past. Not sure what type of future the studio has atm but we'll see. I love their games though. Sunset Overdrive was one of those titles that had me itching to almost purchase the console but just couldn't at the time. I'll play it one day I'm sure. I'm hyped as hell for the R&C origins game and hopefully the film and game put a lot of money in their accounts. They deserve success. Their games have fantastic gameplay and in the R&C series case, insanely good visuals.

I was reading the predictions from playstationlifestyle for PGS and they feel PSX will be where Sony's big stuff will be revealed while this will be a relatively smaller event. It is good that the hype is low. If Sony has a good showing, it will catch folk by surprise. I really like what the fourth guy said though.

I am trying to figure out when the "NU GIMZ!" thing will fade for PS4. It eventually happened with the PS3 over time. Maybe after 2016? Assuming all the games set to come for 2016 (and the ones unannounced) arrive on time, it is going to become unbelievably difficult to keep that narrative going.
Meh, who am I kidding? All it will take is one big exclusive being delayed from the holidays and the PS4 suddenly has NU GIMZ for 2016.

The predictions here over the past few days have deflated my hype so hard that tomorrow is now just Tuesday for me.
Well, after E3 bombs its hard to get something new at this moment , there are two clearly scenarios :
1)Sony has a big announce and managed to kept it without any leak.
2) More stuff of games we already know
Option 2 is the most viable.

Tomorrow will likely be Euro and small studios.
PSX needs to be huge each year to justify it's existence, and you don't get much bigger than Crash.
