Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

Oh man just have to say again how fun this game is. I am on Legendary and the AI is super fun and challenging. I feel like I haven't watched any videos of people really playing on Legendary yet after playing it solo myself.

When you buy it, it usually opens itself there and then. You sure you didn't miss it? Servers might be a little borked at the minute with stuff like Reqs though.
 
Feels better than the beta. Best implementation of sprint ever. You really can't run away like halo 4. I got my first ground pound in warzone. This game is all about that strafe. The ads isn't bothering me as much. So far, so good.

None of the codes I entered from the stream earlier seemed to actually give me any REQ packs either. Probably just launch day stuff.

This was like, 4 hours ago, I don't see anyhting in my inventory that wasn't already there though (had considered that).

It sucks but people will learn that they can't freely quit matches and not get punished. People need to get it back into their system that you power on through a match to the end.

Plus, would you want one of your placement matches for your rank to be a game you join halfway through on the losing side?
 
Finally let me sync my data, but now it won't let me do MP. "We couldn't find a server suitable for your fireteam" (it's only me).

I don't even know what to say. What a fantastic console.

edit: apparently being in the preview program can make it worse? LOL

Co-op with two people on the other side of the country went so smoothly. Loving it. The PVP is already better than any PVP I've played this gen with the exception of Titanfall, although Warzone is better than anything in Titanfall. Great job, 343. The co-op campaign on legendary is fucking hard but hugely satisfying with friends. So much swearing and begging someone to come get me up.

I'll add you tomorrow and hopefully things have smoothed out so I can cheer ya up in multiplayer ;)
 
Not only did campaign theater not return, but you can't take screenshots in theater mode, I can always count on 343 to remove features.
Zoom button in theater is also broken.

You can take screenshots on the system level so I don't see the need for screenshot in theater itself...

No campaign theater IS a huge bummer though.
 
well,i was hoping to dip into the campaign tonight but the rate this install/patch is going it doesn't seem that way. Ugh I hate games nowadays.

My download has sped up significantly in the last 20 mins. I've downloaded 6gb in those twenty minutes, whereas prior it took me 4 hours to download just 8gb. I'm at 92%, looks like I'll be able to get in a couple of games before going to bed if it continues at this rate.
 
Well I played 3 rounds of Warzone and lost them all, but I at least felt like I contributed a little bit on the latter two. Game's pretty damn fun despite my flimsy thumbstick skills. :D
 
So is something wrong with my X1 or Halo? I got the disk and the original install failed the first time. I restarted my console and the install finally finished. When the game finally loaded, I went straight to multiplayer and after 30 seconds of playing, I got kicked back to the dashboard and the game is asking me if I own the disk for this game.
 
Going to buy an XB1 soon. It's just amazing to play. Most satisfying gunplay, even over Destiny.

The SMG, the shotgun, the magnum, the assault rifle.. They all have a satisfying impact to them.
 
Damn, this install has been crawling once it got to 90%. At the rate it's going, it'll take more than hour and half to complete.

Why the heck is it preventing me from playing the campaign when the patch is for multiplayer?

I wouldn't. But if Arena is going to keep being 75% 3v4 it can fuck off.
 
Just got to the third story mission. For a game with a ton of mid-range battles, the background characters running at half framerate is really weird and I'm surprised it shipped this way. I swear sometimes the characters that aren't even that far away from me run at the half framerate too which is weird.

Having fun with it so far though overall. The movement feels really good.

There's tonnes of filthy casuals on now the game is live globally. A bunch of people who are used to rage quitting and going about their business. They'll slowly hit a low rank and once you've placed it'll be a rare occurrence. Hopefully :3
