Just got an xbox one and this.
Holy hell an hour later and im at 28 percent installed. i had it to 45 and then cancelled and now its at a CRAWL
is this normal?
Also in bandwith usage it says im downloading something at 61 Mbps.

Got the game at 9, installed it (took an hour) only to have it not let me play until it downloaded update. It will finish at midnight. I feel sorry for excited people on the east coast.
This must really suck for people with bad internet.

What difficulty are you playing on? Taking my time to look for goodies, I cleared the first mission in 15-20 minutes on Heroic. Switching to legendary took me about twice that.

Normal. I played through the first on legendary and decided I'd do that later.

The gunplay is great. Only played multi. Waiting for friends to download and install to play co op campaign. Seems really good so far.
There's your problem. Bump up to Heroic, normal is for press folks who can't play games.
Eh, it sounds annoying in a replay but it's helpful when you're actually playing to know exactly when your shields are gonna go up.

Jeff said it best, you play normal to feel like "some sort of unkillable maniac".
Really wish this had a double jump too. Whatever that little boost is seems pretty lame so far (only 1.5 hours in) and the mobility is pretty lacking to other fps.

Yeah I agree, don't see the point of Easy at all, just ditch it and do Normal, Heroic and Legendary.

Up to mission 12 on heroic and loving it. Played a match on war zone and loved it. Played 6 arena games and won 3 and lost 3 with the last game losing 49-50 after being up 47-43.

Yeah so my local Walmart didn't even fucking have the game. At all. Nowhere. Not even in the back. (Well to be fair my roommate did try to warn me, they didn't even get Destiny TTK in on release day)
Had to drive 20 miles through this Patricia leftover mess to the next closest one, they had it in their security room.
(Closest Gamestop was 40 miles away, closest best buy was 60 so my options were limited. Luckily my former hometown Walmart pulled through for me)
Time to install then sleep while the update downloads.
EDIT: Yeah, could have gone digital, yada yada. I'm an old fart
