....Adapter? Oooh. I have a logitech, but I'm guessing the adapter is only for micless headsets?
 
Just finished first 2 missions on Legendary, took about 2 hours and it was a blast! Haven't tried MP yet, but I'm hearing a lot of good things right now and I can't wait to play it tomorrow night :D
 
Through Mission 7... god damn 343, this is damn good.

A few small gripes here and there but the gameplay and level design are absolutely phenomenal, a huge step up from Halo 4 in every regard.

About to hop into MP for a few games and then I'm taking off for the night.

Just finished my third match in multiplayer and I'm having a blast. I was highly critical after H4/MCC but so far its been addicting. Doesn't quite feel like Halo of old but still really good.
 
I've played the first couple of single player missions and a little multiplayer, and wow does 60 FPS make such an incredible difference. The game just plays silky smooth. The visuals look great, and with my headphones the game sounds fantastic.

I haven't really been big into Halo since Halo 3, but I can definitely see myself putting a lot of hours into this. This is the shooter I've been missing in my life.
 
so...I can't connect to the servers in halo5? something wrong on my end or do others have that problem too?

xbox live is working without a problem
 
I feel like ive just been robbed. every time I play a game Inow I know it will take up to 4-6 hours before I can even play. man coming from ps4 where the installs were literally seconds....how is this acceptable
 
Other than the ridiculous install/update time (expected i guess) great first few levels can't wait to get the rest done, but im out for the count. Night all and happy hunting!
 
This truly feels like the evolution of Halo. Does that make sense? It's not Halo, but it's not, not Halo. It's something familiar and yet new altogether. Especially Warzone. I think the new REQ system is a million times better than the Infinity system. Where was this in Halo 4? I love the unique guns too. I unlocked some sentinel BR with an ACOG scope and a silencer and I just love the way it feels. There's something so addicting about the weapon feedback. The way a grenade just feels right as it hits someone, that PERRRRFEECT headshot kill. Let's see how Arena feels when I'm finally comfortable enough to play it.
 
I sent in my Xbox One for repair a week ago. It arrived yesterday, so just in time for Halo 5!
Props for Xbox Service, they gave me a free month of Xbox Live. But it's unclear what they did; did they repair it or is it a new device? Serial number is the same but the sticker has a service date of 22-10-2015.
 
After reviews i was a little unsure , but all the impressions here sound great.

I personally loved 4 (despite its story shortcummings), and this appears to be better then halo 4 in everyway which greatly pleases me
 
I'm three hours in, and this campaign is exactly what I wanted. The secret areas, dead ends, and optional paths really add a lot to it. Story be damned, running around shooting dudes is a total blast. This is easily my favorite campaign since CE.

Adapter is a puck for older controllers with no built in headphone jack but it works with any normal 3.5mm headphones. Obviously won't work with sub headphones.

No, I think you're right. I feel those same things as well. The only thing that's frustrating me is that I'm playing purely with randoms currently.
 
Remember the opening Spartan II cinematic in Halo 4 where all of the Spartans were full sprint, slamming into stuff and breaking shit with ease?

For the first time in the series, you actually play like that, and it's amazing.
 
I really like this campaign so far (mission 8). The encounters feel really dense and there are a lot of ways to tackle things. I don't agree with every story and pacing choice so far but it's a huge step up from 4.

And yoooo this multiplayer. It's really good.

They're still forcing the retarded 4 character combo on us so my service tag I've used ever since Halo 3 almost a decade ago is now unavailable for use.

I can't choose my own colors for the emblem anymore. Who the fuck came up with that?

And then the REQ store. Just seeing it makes me weep for the industry.
 
Feeling lukewarm about this game (MP only). It reminds me a lot of Halo 4 where it's incredibly well made, but maybe Halo just isn't for me. Won't fully know until I can play with some friends though.

I...I don't think I want to know what happened in 4.

Anyway, I went out a bought a Xbone and Halo 5 immediately after work. Impressions from this thread seem to be the game's a winner.

You can open up a Gold Pack by playing 3-4 games of Warzone. It's really not a problem what so fucking ever.
