Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

okay so my view after playing.
things I don't like:
Helmet Frame for fucks sake. really it is annoying.
not enough human ammunition. I love those weapons, why am I not allowed to use them?
Yes I know that story wise there can't be human ammunition, but in this instance I don't care
to much osiris
enemy AI on Heroic is a joke sometimes
yes I know I can switch to legendary
Locke is just plain boring.
Helmet Frame. honestly, for me
please concentrate on the ME before you jump on me it is what I'm feeling
it is really bad. switching from MP to SP is a pain.
Toooo many dog enemies (Crawlers) they are not as fun as Grunts.
Oh how annoying it is when you see a crawler running, it runs away and suddenly the animations drop and it's movements start to change.
No Spartan Company tab.

things I like:
the shooting is good and fun.
did not have enough time in MP, but so far it is fun
I actually like the REQ system
no problems like the MCC had so far
Default Controller Setting is alright. Still gonna try out more settings later.
loads fast

disclaimer: it sounds worse than it is. I'm a big halo fan and have incredible high expectations for a sequel of my favourite franchise. I've been playing halo for years and not one month goes by without me playing MP or SP.

Question: what is your favourite controller setting?

Damn NXOE console update! Almost kicked me out of a game to update my console, the match was just about fully loaded and then the Update message pops up.

But, I am loving the game. Got a lot of footage to upload to Youtube, only OBS fucked me a bit. There is a tiny black border on the right and bottom of the videos. Only noticed after recording 20 matches. Fixed it. Ended up Diamond Rank 1 after placing. Have a 9.7 KDA in Slayer (only playlist I have played so far) and have a 60% Win Percentage.

Waiting on my damn console to finish updating so I can play a bit more.

Woke up an hour early to have a quick look at it before work.

Played the first couple of missions and I'm liking what I've seen.

60fps is fantastic. Glad they went with that over eye candy, don't get me wrong the game still looks nice but this is as smooth as a babies backside

The gun sounds are great. Probably the best I've heard outside a Battlefield game. All the weapons I've tried so far have felt good, even the Promethan weapons which I didn't like in 4 feel much better.

The 30fps animation for enemies in the distance is a bit odd when you are trying to hang back and clear an area out. When I first heard about this I wasn't expecting it to be so jarring. I'll still take that when the close quarters combat is so satisfying and smooth

Today is going to be the longest work day in a while. Really want to get stuck into the campaign and play some Warzone

Played 3 hours of co-op campaign. Loved it.

Played a game of warzone. Loved it.

Played 6 matches of Breakout. Loved it the most.

And I hated Halo 4 Multiplayer.

Halo is back fam.

The MP is going to keep me hooked for fucking months. I've never had this much fun online since BF: Bad Company. And I wasn't even playing with mates.

Can't wait to jump in tonight! Halo is going to consume my thoughts alllll day.

As the poster said above, any news on the new sprint episodes?!

So console updates are starting to roll out for everyone? Might stop playing for now. I dont want to get booted during a cutscene or midmatch.

I didn't think the 30FPS animation on enemies from a distance would be that noticeable. I laugh sometimes just looking at it. Nothing totally game or immersion breaking. Just a little odd.

I'm about an hour into my Heroic play through of the campaign. Going to get some sleep since I got class in the morning. But my thoughts on the game so far are pretty positive. Gunplay, soundtrack, and yes, even the graphics, are amazing. Just an hour in and I'm already having more fun than Halo 4.

Will play more later on today. Damnit I'm already itching to play some more. It's gonna be a loooooooong day. :/

Recon makes it impossible to aim with the ground pound. I went back to default immediately after realizing this problem.
Yeah, moving my left hand over to aim was a bit much. So, now shooting in the air has you hovering for a bit when aiming. It feels weird doing it by clicking the right analog stick.

Went 8-2 with unstable. I had a 1.5 kd and I'm pretty sure his was 2.0+. I hit platinum 1 and he hit diamond 1.

That green map (I think it's called plaza) is very confusing at first. I jumped straight into arena without doing anything else first, so I'm surprised we actually did so good.

These campaign levels so far

Just got a console update right when the match was about to finish :( Awesome game so far though.

Got the prompt in the middle of a cutscene...

Backed out, watched, saved, updating now.

Up to mission 7. Digging it so far. Definitely a different feel than the original 3. Feels kind of like a mix between Halo 3/Reach/ODST in terms of atmosphere. Remains to be seen if it is as good as those games though.

Chief or bust. We don't need no team mates.

Except Nathan Fillion he is cool by default but fuck the rest.

I wished Buck & his team (Alpha-Nine) had returned to Halo 5 in some capacity. I think it would've been funny to see how the Rookie would had interacted if he had came in contact with the Master Chief. You know, being a mute and all.
