I played the first two missions, several rounds of slayer, warzone, and breakout.
I'm loving everything about this game! The only problem is that several games of breakout had someone leave after the game started. With breakout, if it's 3v4 the team with 3 is pretty much guaranteed to get the loss. I'm not sure if there are any penalties for leaving after the game starts. If there aren't, or if there are, I would suggest something pretty harsh.

if you leave games early the game even warns you that you will get a temporal bann

There are; repeated quitting will result in deranking and eventually net you timed bans.

Only had time to play the first campaign mission before work this morning, and I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to get back after work and play more.
Definitely a few small things I noticed that are different from the beta (not sure if these changes extend to mp):
*Can now ground pound from a standard jump (in the beta, a jump from the ground was not high enough to initiate ground pound)
*Sprint is definitely slowed down (though this was known)
*Ground pound moved from crouch button to melee
I do find the Helmet HUD a bit intrusive, but otherwise I love what I'm playing. I completely forgot about dynamic resolution until after I played, so to me, the implementation is good enough that I likely won't notice. The story has it's hooks in me, and I can't wait to see what happens, especially after just having finished Hunt the Truth season 2.

So, my pre-loaded Halo 5 is stuck on "Queuing" and refuses to launch. This is frustrating. After getting the digital only bullshit shoved down my fucking throat by the Limited Collector's Edition, I just uninstalled and and am in the process of re-downloading an over 50 gb title. Hopefully that fixes this nonsense.

Can't wait for my Elite controller. I'm using the default controller scheme but it feels like there is one important button too many. Everything is great except for having the boost on B. I'll map that to a paddle when the new controller is in.

Ehh....just woke up and was going to try and play a little bit before going to work. The game crashes every time I try to launch it from the dashboard.
Guess it's time to uninstall and redownload. Super annoying and kind of destroys the purpose of a preload.

I hate to tell you this but your wife is trying to collect her life insurance premiums.
Also, also, don't let the negativity going around get you down. There's a lot of crazy passionate people reacting to things atm. Sure some of it is valid, but also lots of overreaction.
IMO you guys have made an awesome game and ya'll should be proud. Seems like the launch went off without a high so congrats!

I have an issue not directly with the game but it is linked to it. Could it be that the game is so new that it can't be tied to the dashboard home screen? When I try to launch it from there nothing happens, but doing it from My Games & Apps and it works just fine.

Plasma Caster is my favorite new weapon since the Spartan Laser. Hydra is pretty cool as well, I already have an idea for a custom infection gametype set around it. Humans are on a small circular platform with only Hydras with unlimited ammo. Zombies spawn on a ring far above the platform and ground pound down to kill humans. Missile Command.

Yes. The Warzone mode has never been more accessible with deeper layers of game play than what you get in the competitive Arena mode. If you don't like Halo, but are a fan of Destiny, TitanFall, you'll like Warzone. It gives you a metric shit ton of guns, vehicles, other things like armor mods, assassinations to get etc. You could even spend your time trying to kill the enemy AI to accrue points for your team if you don't want to engage the other Spartans.
The campaign plays well, but you'd probably be confused if you're not a fan of the series about who these characters are, or what this all means.
Otherwise, beyond Warzone you also have equal starts and fair Arena competitive, the new Breakout mode which is single life with a fast ttk, modes like SWAT etc.

I've never even played a Halo game before and I'm loving it. Can't comment on the campaign as I rarely play SP games but I'm addicted to the MP.
It's a pretty shitty thing to do but I was going to do the same if my copy didn't turn up :3

war zone is a nice chill mode but can also be super competitive if you try, arena should rank you fairly after a while so you get equal-ish matches instead of stomps
