Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

Got disconnected in Warzone (either my internet or the preview dashboard is messing up) and it took me to the main menu for 10 seconds...then automatically put me back into the same game with the same amount of score and kills I had. That's pretty nice.

That is awesome and very impressive. I haven't been playing much multiplayer games lately is this something that other games have been doing as well?

Play Warzone with me after I get off work.

When you are searching for secrets in the campaign and finally find something and its just a Battle Rifle chilling in some place very high.

All I hope for is that Halo 5's community stays large enough and that Forge is updated frequently enough to make sure fresh content is being produced. I truly believe that in order for Halo to keep live, the community has to keep it there and Forge is ultimately the key.

I found a sweet shotgun called reign of fire or something to that effect. A regular shotgun, but burned covenent to a crisp much like that one promethian gun does. Godly.

About done with the campaign and I feel like nothing has really happened and it isn't going anywhere. I hope the last two missions move things along more.

I love the MP, but I am so disappointed in this campaign. The levels have been super linear, no wide open sandbox stages like Silent Cartographer.

Also
Cortana is back, who didn't predict that? Ugh, why? Why can no writers commit to a death?

Seriously, the way they messed with the velocity curve for the aiming sucks. Now that I know what they did I notice it every time.

Having a ball playing Warzone. Same time, standard MP I'm still on the fence with for the most part.

Most important to me is the online has been like a rock despite some issue people had with the REQs the other night.

Are there many missions where you just face the forerunner enemies?

I hate fighting them, not fun at all...

Played 7 missions and i am beginning to fear the focus is on them rather than covenant?

In Campaign?! Holy crap that's cool. I gotta say I don't love Destiny but I love the naming of weapons. Fun to see it here.

click on friend's name and can't see what they're playing in-game

.___.

given all these basic missing features, it feels like Halo 5 is going to rely heavily on integration with the new dash, assuming it's fast and doesn't menuception on itself like this one does.

It was pretty obvious at the end of H4
That she would be back. At least I thought.

Get ready for more Prometheans and get ready for one enemy in particular.

Am I crazy or are there zero covenant assault rifle things in this game? I saw tons of pistols and the needler but not the fast firing one.

Storm Rifles and there are tons of them.

Let's be real, the Master Chief's just as boring as the rest of them, he's just the one we're most familiar with.

I'm legitimately hoping that 343i doesn't react too severely to the initial fan outrage and continues to develop Locke and the rest of Osiris. I was pretty disappointed about
how little we got to play as Blue Team
—not even sure if that really counts as much of a spoiler at this point—but I think it'd suck if they just went to the opposite extreme, like they did with the victory poses.

Thanks, I'll keep a lookout for you.

And please pardon my rust. ._.

I'm extremely concerned Halo 6 is going to pull a Halo 3 and we'll just have playable Chief / Blue Team and Osiris will just be supplementary.

That being said, being able to keep a Fireteam on rotation almost like an RPG party where you could customize your characters per squad, loadouts, etc. would be pretty insane. Maybe even do pseudo-RPG elements like finding new equipment for them or somehow incorporating skill trees, e.g. "fight through abandoned warehouse full of Covenant to capture or kill Jackal spy while evading Sentinel patrols" could be a pretty straightforward mission as Chief, but if you had a party made up of Locke, Kelly, Vale and Fred, it could end up being a completely different engagement.

There's two types of Halo players, I think. Those who quickly tap tap tap the stick all the way over to the left/right to make fine aiming adjustments, and those who just have a light touch. H5 currently favors the former, while the latter have to crank up the sensitivity to get light adjustments out of a soft touch.

things are hidden so well! in most games, collectibles are found literally in your path or slightly off path, like behind a crate. in halo 5 they are fucking hidden. i've been looking and have found very few skulls and less than half the data pads. its funny, i found a way to climb quite high on a building on tsunaion only to find... nothing. cool view though.

Yup. The weapons are just slightly modifed weapons, with nice perks and different weapon skins.

The first mission has a hidden boltshot, and a hidden scattershot, but have different names which I forgot. Pretty sure the boltshot does much more damge, and the scattershot has 2X the clipsize. The battlerifle I mentioned though was just a regular BR chilling on top of a big structure on the second mission. Prior to that, there is that special white shotgun that insta-reloads, and turns enemies into ashes.

All right guys, I'm gonna be game for some Arena, Some Warzone, Some Co-Op, some whatever when I get home from work in an hour.

Scattershot is Loathsome Thing, and I think its projectiles are more durable, as in the spread's tighter and they can travel for way longer, even after rebounding off surfaces. Has better range by proxy.
