Two weeks still? Fuck. I was kinda feel I having it was gonna be just a few days for whatever reason. I mean I knew when it's gonna come but... I don't know. Sigh.

it doesn't seem like it was that long ago when it was 4 months away. I'll take 2 weeks. I have been waiting for Xenoblade since Jan 2013.

what about now, is it still not November? :(

I'm tempted to make this my post-Halloween avatar and just make him angrier every day until I actually have Fallout 4 in my hands.

I was on the fence with my pip-boy edition, but I decided to keep it. I guess I can just leave it on my work desk for decoration or something.

Yeah, Skyrim was the same IIRC. So when the game goes live in New Zealand, can VPN unlock early Monday morning my time, hopefully.
Well, I think I'm working that Monday so I never even considered VPN'ing the game. If I get the day off however (or just changed) maybe I still will!

Dumb question GAF.

What does the season pass include. ?

All available DLC when it comes out (not at immediate release).

Fallout 3 had some really cool and fun DLC, you can buy the pass any time before or after release and it won't affect you either way. I'm definitely going to buy it.

I wouldn't get Season Pass before they release some accurate information about what kind DLC it's going to give. Price of Pass is more likely to go down than up.

Good point, thanks. I'll just get the game then.

If score early copy you better drop some spoiler free impression on us!

Also accurate descriptions of all perks (+tiers) would be awesome ^^

Sure thing. At least when it comes to impressions. And I mean November the 7th with next Saturday, not the one coming up this week.

My mother is coming to visit and stay for a week on the release date...

Hopefully she will go to the opera and similar things once or twice so I get at least a few hours to play the game.

"So mom, there is some food in fridge and here is post-it note with my NetFlix login info. I will be in my room for next month or so. You have cash to take taxi to bus station at end of week, right?"

I pre-ordered and bought the season pass the other day. I know it's unwise and frowned upon to do such things in most cases, but between Fallout 3 and Skyrim I've probably done over 600 hours and I enjoyed all of the DLC so I figure the ~£55 I spent at the very least would be a late thank you for the 400 Skyrim hours I got at sale price.

Also, by sheer coincidence I have a week of holiday a week or two after the game comes out. Not too bad, I think.

I don't think there has ever been a season pass worth full price, not only that, but by the time the full season pass content has been released, usually the DLC has gone on sale anyway. Personally, I thought all Fallout DLC was disconnected and rather shite, so I won't be touching it until reviews come in and sales kick in.

I decided I wasn't gunna get Fallout 4, and was gunna get MGS5 instead - which I assumed would be under $40 by the time F4 is out - but I found out that on Amazon F4 is only fifty bucks with Prime, and I have gift cards anyway, so I'm all in.

In all this excitement for F4, I tried installing a new mod for FNV, and I accidentely pressed the activate all button on Nexus Mod Manager, and now my game is totally unplayable. :(

I'll have to painstakingly go through my entire list of mods just to see what caused the problem.

No info yet on any differences for platforms, right? Not sure if i want to do xbo or ps4 yet.

Damnit that's what holding me back, thought smoke would be clear by now. On the plus side, X1's full pre-load has been available for a while now.

@DCDeacon hey man is there going to be a difference in the graphics for fallout 4 on ps4 and Xbox or is it very much going to be the same?

@Brann_roches very much the same

FNVEdit will go through all your loaded esps/esms and will find a fault in them and what needs to be loaded for it to work, that should help.

Part of me thinks their lack of showing gameplay is deliberate. Either it's really good and they want to make a big splash or it's really bad. We shall see soon enough. That said I'm waiting on reviews.

This type of marketing strategy of not showing the game really feels unprecedented for a AAA game.

Perfect release date. Holiday the day after? Thank you.

Just received a 980TI and 27" 144hz monitor with main intentions being FO4 and Just Cause 3. Can't wait for both!!!

That BB gold package is tempting though with GCU. Holding off so far...

Well if there is a good deal to be had that is going away, I'd go for it (if it were me. Unless they really fuck up Fallout 4 I know I'm going to want the DLC. I just see no reason to buy the season pass now unless there was a deal that is buy now or it goes away)

fuck yeah, the perfect games to experience a visual jump like that with. Fallout's gonna run smooth as butter for you (hopefully) and Just Cause 3 is gonna be wtfomgdahdkjdSGkljgkhb

I really hope that Fallout 4 has proper support for high framerates. I wanna pick up a nice high framerate monitor but if the only game I'm going to be playing for the next six months won't support it, then I might as well hold off

It's what I have heard on Reddit. Maybe physical copy gets meatier manual?

Edit: God I hope HUD doesn't take so much screen space in final version of the game, or we can at least scale it;

That's a lot of screen space? Looks like the HUD takes up less screen space than Fallout 3's did.

For me that is waste of screen space, especially when looking at what kind information HUD is giving at that moment. HP bar and ammo counter should be smaller by several notches, crosshair is way oversized and should be like 1/10th of that and enemy name + HP should be several notches smaller. On top of that there will grenade proximity indicators like in CoD etc. cluttering HUD even more.

I hope we get to enable/disable individual HUD modules and also have slider for HUD's scale so we [read: at least me] can scale it down to take less space.

I will be playing this on PC aka sitting directly in front of monitor and I can already tell that HUD is going to bother me so much.

There will be that painful week or two as we need to wait for script extenders and makeshift modtools so scene can get proper HUD etc. modding going :/

Plan is to mod FO4 until my new rig starts to work as space heater and begs for mercy because running out of resources.

Edit: Also I think it's quite sad that things like lackluster HUD design gets excused with "mods". I think we should expect better from Bethesda by now.

I don´t know if this has been asked earlier but, today I received my code for the Fallout 3 download for Xbox 360, but probably I am going to cancel my preorder. There is going to be some kind of problem to cancel? I know that Microsoft is more flexible than Sony for this. I still able to redeem the code for Fallout 3 if I cancel? Thanks in advance

I personally don't find anything wrong with the UI (I'm even a fan of the font which many people aren't, understandably I suppose) but as soon as the relevant mods hit, I'm gonna change all that shit to double digit percentage gauges and smaller vertical bars, and slap 'em in the top right of my screen.

They haven't shown anything because they don't need to. It's Bethesda, its Fallout, they know you're going to buy it. I like the marketing they have done thus far. The little animated things are neat and the live action trailer was cool. It will be nice to go into a big game without knowing every single detail about it before it launches.

I like the marketing they've done thus far in the sense that I usually go on media blackouts for my favorite games anyway. But what I would've liked is the press getting to see more of the game and conveying their excitement. I get hyped knowing that people are gushing over their preview time with a game. Very few impressions of Fallout 4 makes a small part of me just a little nervous.

I want to know if we can change the color to something that isn't neon green. I want to know lots of basic things about this game.
