Constantly playing 3v4 in Arena Slayer. So frustrating.

I can see why this could be frustrating but, most of the time I end up winning 3vs4 games (I'm with the 3). Stick with your team and light em up. They have less to players to kill. So you can rack the points up faster.
 
On mission 3 and i have to say... the squad AI is so bad. I would rather have 3 Marines from Halo CE than the Legendary Blue Team. Blue Team lost against 2 grunts, multiple times. Just to test them, i didn't shoot a grunt rushing us with plasma grenades in his hands, not one shot was fired from blue team, fred and linda down.

The missions themselves aren't bad at all but the squad AI is terrible. I understand that they can't be the killing machines they are in the lore but there's something wrong about seeing Linda, Kelly and Fred Firing at a stationary target and missing every single shot.
 
This has to be (imo) the best halo yet.

I understand the warden complaints related to the campaign. But everything else I just don't agree with. The encounter design is really, really well done. I consistently will approach an encounter one way, die because of a stupid mistake, and then find there are better ways to tackle the situation. For example, on "unconfirmed", the last large encounter before finding the guardian is so much easier if you platform to the rocket launcher on the left side of the area and just shoot the crawlers from above.

The ai is also surprisingly competent. Specifically the hunters and the promethean soldiers. you can't just throw grenades at them (they will deflect them), and you can't exploit them by circling around them up close anymore. I love how the second hunter goes berserk after you take out the first one.

I've spoiled the story for myself. And while I can kind of understand where people are coming from, it's still not horrible, makes the story easier to understand, and really lets 343 go crazy in the next game. Plus, the overall mission design (outside of the warden fights) is incredibly polished and well done.

The multiplayer is exactly what I want out of a first person shooter. I wish it were easier to unlock helmets and other armor pieces without buying reqs. But that's a minor complaint. The 60fps and new mechanics make a huge difference. I am so glad they took our armor abilities and loadouts in arena.
 
I think this game is a prime example of someone at 343 just shitting the bed. Like I'm having fun and its still good but why why why did they change the game so radically from beta? Feels like a totally different game between the aiming and the criminally small radar.

I'm trying to adjust and I'm having good games now too but aiming just feels so off sometimes. And I bet 343 NEVER addresses this.

I hear it's the pro teams fault which could just be internet bs but if it's true ugh. No more pro team please.

One thing I always liked about Bungie was that they didn't care about pro gaming too much. Make a good game and people will play it, even if it's not balanced like chess.

Yesterday I played Warzone, and it took me less than 10 seconds to find a match. Literally.
Today: "Searching for spartans...". I'm hearing many complaining about it aswel.

I know that story in Halo MCC. I hope they don't do the exact same thing here again.

Seriously, no idea. I remember it feeling wonky in the beta, too. I don't know if there are other stats that contribute (power weapon kills, etc.) or if it's just random, but initial rankings just do not feel right.

Is it just me or does the aiming just feel "off" in this game. I think it's the cursor acceleration not being set correctly. The only way I've found to counter it is to set my sensitivity to 1! For reference in destiny I've got it set to Max level 10. So the difference is massively jarring. I feel a tad silly getting a console for this game if this issue doesn't get addressed. Its having an adverse effect on my enjoyment of the game.

i think its taking into account who you beat as well as you just winning
 
Anyone notice that the assassination you select never really plays half the time? i've had several different takedown animations instead of the rare one I currently have enabled.
 
Unfortunately that's usually how high-difficulty Legendary in Halo is (that's why I never really play it that way unless it's four-person co-op, or there's an achievement.)

Giving your allies powerful weapons and making sure you neutralize the easiest targets first (targets like Crawlers or Grunts you can quickly one-shot and get back to cover) help push things along. On higher difficulties don't waste precision ammo on soldiers, strip their armor first.

Don't enemies usually use much smarter AI on higher difficulties in Halo?

How is the enemy AI in this one?
 
Glad it's not just me - it's a bit clunky trying to see who's playing what and with who atm which is a shame

Enjoying the multiplayer a lot but do miss partying up/ active roster type stuff
 
Anyone notice that the assassination you select never really plays half the time? i've had several different takedown animations instead of the rare one I currently have enabled.

Certain animations require a larger space around the character.
So if there's a wall or something in front of the person you're assassinating, it might not trigger your custom animation if there's not enough room.
 
Yeah, Active Roster is a must.

I have so few complaints about Halo 5, but the step back in social features, even from MCC, is definitely one of them.

105 deaths across 10 matches means 10.2 deaths per game.

Your friend would need to be picking up 30 kills per game.

What in god's name were you playing.

EDIT: Right, KDA, assists, forgot. Still, that's a ton of kills. Especially with the ridiculous 9.9
