Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

Anyone else wanting more BR starts in SWAT instead of the nearly overwhelming SWATNUM types that get chosen? Admittedly, I don't think I'm as good with the pistol.

People are just afk in ranked :(

I'm guessing just to farm req points. we need a report function

Edit: Or nevermind now they've quit. Maybe auto-queue after matches is the real problem. So fun getting stomped on 2v4 tho. Feel like if half your team quits you just be able to leave without risk of timed ban

Spawned and did this. Felt amazing.

Vote to kick is not a good idea.

I do just wanna be able to leave without penalty if my team quits tho. Still go down in rank but not worrying about bans would be nice

Lol no. That's a terrible idea.
Why? Most other competitive games have a vote to kick option. It's a way to get rid of AFK players and greifers. The amount of times in past halo games where I've played with people intentionally trying to lose is ridiculous. In a game like Counter Strike, however, my team and I can vote to boot the person. It's not an issue there, so why not have it in Halo.

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this in Warzone:

ONI Gungoose

ONI fits the Gungoose's grenades with timed fuses that allow them to ricochet. Advanced Gungoose with heavy armor and upgraded grenade launchers.

You can kill them with one magazine. Shoot the glowing band on their arm, it explodes, they scream, shoot their mouth, they explode. If you don't do it this way they take forever to kill.

You'd think "Shoot the glowing weak spots" would be obvious but no, I've been emptying entire guns into them.

Thanks for the help, guys.

It'll be abused like crazy.

*Radar needs to be updated a little. 18 meters is too little.

You must have missed the discussion here a few pages back. The reticle speed increases relatively linearly with distance from the center joystick position, until you reach a certain point (about 70% to the edge) and it jumps to a wildly faster speed. So if you spend a lot of time around that 70% point, your aiming will feel super jacked up.

In theory this is a good idea, because you'd think you would want lower sensitivity for more subtle movements and higher sensitivity for large movements (to allow quick turning), but in practice it feels very off.

Just try slowly tilting the right stick to the right more and more. You'll notice a distinct point at which your turn rate skyrockets.
Such a Stupid Design choice, I hope they fix it because honestly its infuriating. Im going to run through campaign and hopefully ill adjust to the aim by then, if not im going to shelve the game until they fix it.
I only played it on Slayer but it just didn't seem like it flowed well to me. A lot of wandering around without any real sense of your surroundings.

I'll have to try it on an objective mode though, see if it's any better there.

I'm having the same issue honestly. Aiming just feels very weird and it's taking a while to get used to it.

Its really annoys me that they changed up the aiming after the beta felt so tight and responsive. I figured the jump to 60 frames a sec would make Halo feel razor sharp and it did in the beta but this change in the aiming mechanic is such a stupid choice.

Have you beaten the campaign?

No, I don't play shooter campaigns anymore. I buy Call of Duty, Battlefield and other shooters purely for the online multiplayer and I've been playing arena shooters since Doom and Quake. Maybe it's just my age catching up to me but doing well in this particular game is more of a struggle for me than any other multiplayer shooter to date. I should mention that this is the first Halo game I've played outside of Halo 3 split screen at a friend's house.

Lack of content is really getting to me. Probably gonna get a refund if I dont feel differently in a week or 2. They built solid mechanics but some completely stupid design decisions take away from it.

Did they remove shields from Breakout since last night?

Edit: I guess it never had shields... Well then, last night was weird cause I had shields... and so did the enemies.

I preordered the game from ms store. Where would I see the preorder bonus?
You should have pre-order REQ packs.

Just play 2-3 missions to get a feeling for the weapons and movement.

Breakout never had shields. Only health o_o

Anyone want to team up for Team Arena? It seems like grouping up is the way to go, since a team of 4 doesn't get matched against a team of 4. I'm plat 3 right now, trying to climb to at least Diamond.

I'm enjoying the game so far, but there is some jaggedness and some of the maps are bland. Good gameplay though. I'm really having to adjust to the extreme mobility. I put a ton of time into Halo 2 and 3 - and was a general in Lone Wolves. So I played Free-for-All and I didn't do so well - I might have gotten first place in three matches - yet I got placed into Onyx. Seems strange, but after that point, I caught myself doing much better in general. I probably psyched myself up after knowing I got placed into Onyx. I was doing so badly during placements too. haha
