I usually patrol like a square of the map and make that my own.
if I see people fighting I push and try steal a kill then go back to my square/quarter of the map and play pretty passively

So long story short, I ended up with a second sealed copy of the game that I'm not able to return. What's the best way to get as close to $60 back from it as I can? Was gonna try to see if anyone on Facebook wants to buy it for $40-$50.

IIRC, placement factors in individual performance (with... varying levels of accuracy, it seems), but from there on out, it's all W/L.

I really hope this game doesn't lose interest and population like H4 or even Gears Ultimate. It's already starting to wane on twitch and it hasn't even been a week yet D:
Damn just looked at the numbers for twitch games and holy crap that game is crushing it! I didnt realize counter strike was so popular again.
Forge should help massively if 343 sort a way for the wider community to play Forge maps.
Also just having 343 produce content and keep things fresh with help. Hopefully the REQ system for Warzone could lead to some interesting additions to liven things up.
S4s are augmented like the S2s, just not to the same extent. Their armor is also more advanced than the ones S2s wear effectively leveling the playing field between S4s and the few remaining S2s. Outside of a suit, S2s would wipe the ground with S4s.

Traditional First Person Shooters are never that popular on Twitch. That camera perspective is not great for an audience because thr player inputs are hidden, whereas something like an RTS or MOBA streams the player inputs as well as the actions. Even 3rd person shooters are more engaging for an audience for similar reasons.
I honestly think and fear that halo 2 kind of MP days are over. To much to play, to many distractions.
People just jump from one game to the next.

Played only a couple of games, but man have they not been kind to me. Gonna take a break and then go shoot some shit in Warzone.

Can someone explain how the different divisions are ranked to me? I found this article but I assume it is out of date, since my wife started off in platinum, and this doesnt even list that one.

Man these cutscenes are straight Last of Us animation quality status. The way the armor moves around the Spartans looks so realistic and properly handled. Faces are amazing as well. That close up of Halsey at the end of mission one, whooo! Well done 343 your animators are incredible!!!
As long as they balance the game towards casuals and ultra hardcore it should be ok. As long as everyone has fun dying and killing, it should be good.
Personally believe that Smash Brothers Melee is one of the best designed games that allowed casuals and pros to have their fun. I'm sure once BTB launches, population will grow even more.

Ranked in Platinum 1 on launch night, getting absolutely dumped on now. Really wish I could rank down because this isn't fun. I'll probably try and play another playlist until the ranks reset (or just git gud)

My wife complained about the same thing. She has only played a few shooters and she is still learning how to play them but the game put her into platinum and now she feels like she cant do anything. I hope that they refine that going forward.
The sounds seem better-authored than Halo 4, definitely fewer annoying oddities. Things still aren't as crisp and distinct as they should be, though.
And at least in campaign, the runtime audio system feels like it's aggressively culling sounds or something. Things like, I'll hear a plasma grenade timer start, and then never hear the blast even though the grenade was obviously very close.
Haha yeah. I let my roommate know the address so whatever.

Also Locke was not a soldier since Childhood like the Chief. He took down 3 odst when he was young without breaking a sweat. It just dos not add up to what we know about the MC.

I am getting destroyed in Warzone, first multiplayer Halo experience, I played all the other game but just the campaing it's fun but I'd like it more I could kill someone. Too scared to jump into arena for now.
Campaign might be my favorite one, I found it amazing. I beat it on Heroic, it was hard but fair.

Make the pistol your best friend before you can get a BR.
AR is not a weapon you should use unless absolutely necessary.
Oh alright. I was under the impression it was the other way around or at least use the pistol if the target is far away.

I lost 8 of my SWAT qualifying matches
1 of the wins was an auto win, because the enemy team was empty, zero shots fired
I ranged from 0.2 to 0.7 KDR, almost always the worst on my team, and often the worst of the game
It put me in platinum and I'm still getting destroyed.

I lived for Halo 1 and 2 back in the day. The memories of gong to my buddies every friday to drink and play hale (we had 3-4 xboxes with separate TV's all linked)
Now I'm an old fart and tried to introduce the awesomeness that is Halo to my kid (mocking his love for Destiny Crucible) and my gawd I suck now the play style needed is just so foreign to me now. My kid went screaming back to Destiny MP
Lack of casual playlists outside of Warzones definately rubs me the wrong way. At least have premade vs premade or something. And fix the ranking (I mentioned above that as shit as I am the game ranked me as Diamond 1 which makes no sense at all)
I'm digging Warzone but I would like to play a MP match that is not such a large time investment.
Campaign is great so far, Warzone is fun but this will almost certainly be trade in fodder for me for BF.

That's because the game seems to make no effort at all to prevent you from being matched against randoms with no mics. In that situation, it's almost impossible to lose.
