Haha, I hopped on an enemy tank's machine gun turret by mistake. The driver got out and I killed him with the turret, then took control of the tank. It was hilarious. :lol
 
Strongholds could use a tweak or two. Really dumb how easy it is to hold onto a lead and the best way to break it is to throw bodies into a nade spamming hill. I like the gametype, but not on these maps.
 
I like all the ranked playlists. I haven't had time to settle into a rank outside of swat yet but in the beta I felt they really gave me a lot more close matches. I am not into getting stomped or stomping others. That is not fun for me. The 49-50 matches are.


P.S. SWAT spawns suck.
 
Okay no way this is skill based match making. The people I am coming up with are way too shit. I'm in Diamond 3 and just lost a game 44-13 and I had 9/13 kills. It's extremely frustrating and ruining my online experience.

My team of low Onyx SWAT went up against 3 champs. Felt kinda unfair but we only lost by 2.

Just finished the campaign on normal solo and only found 10 intel items on my own. Took me 6 hours and 16 minutes and I'm perfectly fine with that.
 
No..It's not that at all. I understand what you are saying about the armor and all. But giving what we know about him , What he have been through. How he trained. I think it's shouldn't be done.

When the whole universe. Covenants. Brutes. Flood could not do it. How could Locke?

The guy was a soldier since Childhood. Reach animated serie gave some insight in what he could do.

But I guess it's just another moment's in a game we can't discuss. Like how he is shorter now.

Regarding Chief's cracked visor.

Chief went easy on Locke. He doesn't want to kill his own. Chief is trained to kill, not fight. Like Sam said in Fall of Reach. Chief has 3 modes. If you were his superior, he followed your orders. If you were his friend, he would die for you. If you were a threat, he'll kill you. Even in a fight, he fights to kill. But, when he saw Osiris coming he knew these were just soldiers following orders. They didn't know why Chief was doing what he was doing. He knew that. He wasn't going to try and kill them for it. He didn't it give it his 100%. That would mean death for Locke. However. In dropping his guard he underestimated Locke. Boom, punch, visor cracked. The rest of the Universe (Covies, Brutes, flood) couldn't do it because Chief gives them 100% kill mode. And although previous enemies didn't crack his visor part of his armor, they certainly put many dents in his body armor.
 
Yeah I really don't get it. If feels super bad when scoped in. Im still struggling to track targets.

I've pretty much giving up on scoping in at all at this point. It just magnifies the issues even more.

Honestly, I think I'm just going to put the game down until it's patched. It's quickly becoming more frustrating than fun.

No; the Cert card itself is permanent, and gives you a higher chance to get the noted item in future packs.

You still need the consumable item cards to call them in in-game.

You could say that Certification cards have absolutely no in-game effect. It's purely an out-of-game pack RNG modifier

Also, I would murder an army of kittens for an objective playlist with CTF, Stronghold, and the old objective standbys like oddball and territories.

Use your Artemis, if you're near one it'll make a pinging noise and light up on your screen. There's some Covenant logs and one or two of those swords.
 
I don't know about you, but Chief got shot, punched, charged, and grenaded a whole lot when I played through these games. ;)

Recommend everyone reads and takes a step back from launch-week hype. I love the base gameplay, but I agree with everything he said. In addition, without forge, custom games are pretty much dead in the water until December. Doubt it'll bring back too many users if H5's population starts falling off.

Right .Gripe moment number two. As someone new to the series I have to say that warthog control is a bit of a joke. There is no logic at all to the way these things are supposed to be moved. Strange.

Also, it feels strange trying to move the spartan after basically learning FPS movement via Titanfall. I keep trying to do double jumps and headbutting the wall! It's so slow too. I think I must be being put off by the lack of screen tearing.

Anyway apart from that, my main problem is the game doesn't seem to let me change the difficulty level mid campaign. I'm up to mission 5 and it turns out I'm stuck on heroic when I wanted it on normal. Each time I leave the game, change the difficulty setting then try to resume when I press pause it still says it's on heroic. As much as I've been impressed with elements so far if I have to replay from the start I'm probably done.

Any ideas on how to change it?

don't agree with that post. They're relying on the past for their arguments, but H5 is a different beast.

Because they are planning on releasing maps and features over time, they're clearly going to support the game post-launch. This isn't comparable to MCC because they don't have much else to work on now, whereas they were too busy working on H5 to update MCC.

I think I also remember one of the devs in the sprint talking about how they're treating H5 like a service with constant updates

Playing Arena for a while with some wonderful Gaf people, winning most matches, ranked up to Diamond 2. Then two straight disconnects in two matches in a row. I even hard rebooted my console after the first one.

Sigh.

I see, that's the way I understood it.

Having a hell of a time on a control scheme. I am a bumper jumper but ADS on the stick is to slow. I have a modified Helljumper with the new dash, I swapped RB and RS so my Melee its like bumper jumper but grenade is a stick push. Pretty weird but its a close as I can get.
 
you can sprint and do it? even if I do so and hold the melee button behind someone chasing them I just whack them normally, and yes the crosshair goes red first.

Sometimes I feel like my game is different to everyone else lol

i remember doing diving tackle assassinations in 4. i always assumed it was because of sprint but i could be wrong. never questioned my assumption.
 
Wow, just had a Warzone match where half my team quit or lagged out before the game even started. Enemy had our core down after only three minutes, before any of us even had an idea what was going on.
 
smh at Breakout being in Team Arena when it already has a dedicated playlist, while CTF and Strongholds don't and are put alongside Slayer.

I complained about the same thing yesterday. It makes no sense to have breakout as its own mode, and then also have it show up in other modes.

The only options are the past or what they tell us. I'd love for H5 to get better handled and I'm sure it would, but going off the past we have...

All of which either didn't happen, took ages, or effectively did nothing because the game was dead at that point. 343 gave us some seriously great custom options (in terms of gravity, weapon damage, etc) but at this point I dunno if it has staying power. Not to mention their communication for MCC patches has been abysmal recently. "The patch is in the works still.."

As I said before, the gameplay is great. Seriously, I love it. But the playlists can basically be summed up as: 50 Shades of Slayer with that 1 flag mode. In addition, console games don't really grow in population unless they're offered for free as in GWG or through a sale. But being realistic the playlists are limited, Warzone feels like a boring BTB, and while I love some maps, the variety seems pretty limited.

edit: I'd say the situations are completely comparable except maybe MCC, and for that they haven't followed through at all. I still have crashes at least 2-3 times a play session, followed by text displaying as code, menu freezes, etc. Still no breakdown.
