Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

If genuinely feels like my grenades are half as strong as everybody else's.

Like, I can dash away from a grenade and still have 3/4 of my shields turfed, and when I put a grenade right under a guy, pump a few bursts into him, and he's still coming.

LOL... I should have never started warzone when I was only in the 3rd level of the campaign... I haven't went back to finish it! UGH!..

tonight!..
right? I will tonight... tonight... I have to... but.. REQ is calling me...

In the lobby and post match there needs to be a way to easily inspect peoples helm, body emblem etc and have the rarity show up. Half the point of getting cool rare stuff is making other people jealous and want it. It could be something fun to do whilst you wait for matches to start.

Just beat the campaign. Not a fan of really anything in it. That's 0/2 for 343 in my books right now. Oh well. Can't say anything about multi as I don't play it.

They need to also show the rarity of armor/emblems in your collection. Just cause you know...sometimes you want to wear your rarest armor.

when is the first DLC coming?

will it be free?

edit: yeh just checked the OP as to the free question. could have sworn this was the game that it would be free.

where abouts do you live? I know what you mean and I put it down to part me being bad and half towards latency on my end, the server thought I was closer.

I almost wish we could sort of customize the Spartan chatter during MP.

Or maybe I just want the unique Firefight voices back.

way too few maps in slayer and arena. we need more maps now. lol.

I agree, only because while taken as a whole, it's a good map count, but if you're playing only certain modes, you're really limited, just like warzone or breakout. Even Arena feels weak in this regard, especially coming off of H2A.

BTB bringing at least 5 maps, so that's a start. Who knows if they open up some of the other Arena maps in Team Arena to Slayer and likewise.

I've now played 20 games of warzone and have yet to see Escape from A.R.C. I feel like I'm living Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.... :/

Got my KDA up to 2.5+ and then Slayer just obliterated it. I think more than any other mode it shows how poor some of the level designs really is, where groups of opponents can basically camp certain key areas to the point where it is almost impossible to penetrate, since they already have multiple cursors pre aimed at entry points.

Well, I mean that's basically map control.

I think Halo 5 is actually better than previous Halos as far as providing routes to break map control, since clamber gives you the ability to approach from so many different angles.

People still don't look up enough in this game, lol

The MP in this game really does have a higher learning curve than the previous Halo games, it was frustrating at first, but it's very fun now. I think going into Warzone to familiarize your self with the controls/movement/aiming/flow of combat is much more advisable than jumping straight into Arena, a much more competitive setting. The difference in my Arena performance is night and day after playing a ton of Wazone. In two games I made my KDA in Slayer go from negative to positive(having played 7 games before that). Where I struggled to go even before, I excel at it now.

I agree with this advice.

Doubly so if, like me, you're training yourself to use the paddles on the elite controller instead of the face buttons.

Team member left our Slayer team in the first 30 seconds of the game, and we never got a fourth. We only lost by a few, but surprised the game didn't fill his spot with a fourth. All FPS games I play, those spots get filled, and especially in an early match.

There is no join in progress for arena games. Only Warzone.

Halo 4 is the only game in the series that had join-in-progress and it was universally panned.

Who wants to join a ranked match mid-way through, lose, and have it affect your ranking?

Warzone might have join-in-progress, not sure.

It wasn't ranked though, but thanks for the clarification.

Titanfall handled join in progress well:

Late to the Game - Joining late is no longer penalized. If you join a match that is more than half way over and your team is not winning, a loss will not be counted on your record. If the match is a win for your team, we’ll count it as one. We’ve also added a warning message noting you will receive a loss on your record by leaving a match in progress

I'd be okay going in by myself to arena playlists if it used a similar system.

If only there were some kind of dangerous object you could throw into such nests for easy kills.

One that so many of us are complaining there are too many of on spawn or able to pick up. I don't think I've been able to hold a key position beyond a few kills because once the enemy figures it out, they just grenade spam like 4-6 nades there and you can't even thruster away.
