Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

I actually like the little touches they do to flesh out the newer characters, but they didn't go far enough to make them interesting, out of the 7 new characters the only ones that have extensive character moments are Buck and Locke with their conversations, the entire blue team, Tanaka and Vale are basically non-existent.

Blue Team issue is that
they're barely in the campaign at all. If they had a few more missions that might not have been an issue.
With Osiris, I think the issue was that Locke was the lead and Buck is a pre-existing fan-favorite played by Nathan Fillion. So their focus tended to gravitate to those two. Still not really an excuse to give Vale and Tanaka any real attention though.

I personally like them both. They take nothing from the game imo.

you wold rather a map be designed for jumping to a ledge to calmber on, instead of a jump designed for a skill jump to land on so you can easily spin and shoot in different directions as you land?

What makes maps designed with clamber better? because you can climb up? why ot just design it so you don't have to climb up?

Yeah, if they went for something like
a 40/60 split Blue Team would be miles more interesting.

I am at the final battle and I'm loving this campaign . Total playtime is just over 7 hrs on heroic but still loved it . Love visiting all these amazing places and I missed a ton of audio logs on my run through , so I look forward to replaying it .

I personally loved 4 but this is even better and I struggle to understand reviews that said it relies on external knowledge , I thought it was all pretty self explanatory and whilst there are areas that no doubt have deeper story to them I though overall it stood on its own as a story .

Now I've yet to finish so maybe it all goes to shit on the final cutscene but either way I'm excited to see what follows .

Looking forward to jumping Ito war zone as well as I've always wanted a battlefield like halo mode and this seems perfect

I think that the maps were designed to flow and traverse quicker. I've not really analysed it in all honesty. I just go off of my enjoyment factor.... Which is higher than all the past halos.

Crouch jumping IS in the game and it is required to do some of the trick jumps on the maps, and there are some new tricks like thrust - stabilizer - clamber or crouch jump - clamber, 343 literally made a video demonstrating those advanced techniques.

Pressing Y twice to switch weapons twice so you can cancel an animation to be able to shoot again quicker. For example, I was reloading the Fuel Rod in this clip while an enemy started shooting me, so I quickly tapped Y twice to cancel the reload animation in order to shoot quickly.

Alternative to Stabilizers, you can crouch jump to get a little boost in height, allowing you to clamber higher ledges
Legit lol

Shit, now I'm regretting having crouch on B.

If that Incinerator wasn't available
during that boss fight on Mission 5
it would of being the most hardest thing ever solo on Legendary.

As has been explained to you already, the maps are still designed with crouch jump in mind. Clamber simply adds to the games fluidity, without removing the advantages skilled players get by performing skill jumps.

Miss my skill jumps so much from halo. Now people only hold clamber every damn time they jump and eventually they will rely on it like a crutch to whre they won't even feel they like skill jumps

How can you miss what isn't gone?

The maps are designed for clamber... this is the point. Not if you can crouch jump in a few spots or not.

i am not liking clamber or the design of the maps at all.

For example near the base on truth. I must jump up in the little covey hole at the base with a clamber. This just makes much more sense if the jump height for our players was a little higher and the platform to jump on was a little lower. Then it is completely a better look and flow in feeling and design. Just one of the many examples, but in the middle of this map is where things really get strange and crazy with clamber design.

I like how the crouch-jumping meta was maintained despite the addition of clamber. It gives me a reason to practice navigation on maps. "Where can I clamber? Where can I crouch-jump? Where can I pro-jump? When should I use those options?"

No they are not. It doesn't mean crouch jump is useless or obsolete. A lot of the layout is still designed with crouch jump in mind, designing for clamber doesn't mean it ignores crouch jump, they are not exclusive to each other. If you are just simply hating clamber as an ability for the sake of don't want it, then I don't know how to reason with you.

got a ban from MP because I created a game myself to learn more about the map, had played enough and left from it.

O.o

disclaimer..I'm all for bans for people leaving matchmaking.

That's... Really weird. I must be tied to the fact that customs run on dedicated servers. Maybe their current ban process is based on dropping the connection to the dedicated server, and they never thought to account for whether it was a match-made connection or not? Probably should report it on Waypoint just in case.

seems to be investigated. it was not my threat but they know that it happenes so no need for me to create a new one, also it was a short one. already back in.

Looks like you had an all around solid time hahah

you know you could add blinking screaming icons over boss' in warzone and my teams would still decide to ignore them.
Yeah, I've had a couple of games in Warzone where people have tons of kills but really low point counts because all they do is run around and treat it like Slayer.

I'm not liking this no objective playlist in halo 5

I don't care if team arena some objectives in there with their slayer or break out has flags in it.

And for some reason i've run into this a 2nd time I wasn' able to use my REQS for some reason.

I dont like the death match game modes all that well, where is my CTF and Breakout modes at!?

You both talk about the same thing and a lot of people on waypoint and Reddit also said it already
Halo 5 needs an objective arena mode >.<! No slayer, only CTF, King of the hill and other stuff

I think I got a ban for accidently starting up a campaign level and quitting the Halo 5 app. I didn't get any ban message, but when I started back up, I couldn't connect to the profile server for about 10 minutes.

Warzone is so good with a proper team.

Enemy took lead, but we nailed their ass when bosses spawned and people started talking and everyone brought tanks and banshees to take them down, saving REQ points for the big guys.

3 Bosses in a row = ezpez

Breakout in Team Arena feels like 'please play our new mode'

Doesn't fit at all, completely different feel and playstyle to the rest of the arena modes
