Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

Warzone Assault doesn't seem to be very good. It seems to be way too easy to turtle up as the defenders and win every match. Even without using requisitions it's pretty easy since vehicles really can't get into the smaller bases.
I wish they would make it were you must need to have more of your players in a base to start acquiring it. And for the final base, have multiple cores so it's not a case of the defenders camping the base, or even making the last base a capture point too.
 
Well finished 5 missions in so far and not impressed with the campaign at all so far. Its had its moments but overall really weak imo. Also never thought I would say this but I wish campaign was 30fps and multi was 60. Overall the campaign graphics are really really bad.

Idk maybe things ramp up but the campaign feels very slow so far in terms of story.
 
I disagree. The less emphasis on pvp, the better. Like the other poster said, there are plenty of pvp options if that is what you're looking for. BTB will add to my argument soon.

I wish we had firefight back, sometimes I want to play something cooperative outside of campaign.

Presumably so people don't "auto quit" in the lobby.

Not that it's doing shit, I had a quitter in damn near all 10 of my qualifying breakout matches. I guess the quit ban isn't enough. People suck with the quitting.

Missions 3-6 should have been cut imo. It gets better with mission 7 and onwards.

This makes it really annoying to evade because you aren't actually dodging what you think you are dodging.


Also finally had a few games of Warzone earlier with a buddy... It would be really great if you could at least see where players in your fireteam are. I get that it would probably give a huge advantage to any teams with large amounts of players that already know each other but 343 should be matchmaking to balance that in the first place.


Also after about 20 arena games and a few Warzone games I have to say I'm not a fan of the 18m motion tracker. I get why they wanted to bring it down from 30 but 18 is too much — it should be somewhere between 22-25m though could vary in different game modes.
 
Honestly the worst offender in the Halo 5 multiplayer experience is that pitiful excuse for an in game roster. The snapped friends app is much more informative.
It's made me miss that amazing feeling when you're scared pantsless before a game because the guys on the opposite team have 8.0 k/d and are top rank but then you end up mopping the floor with them during the game.

Overall the campaign graphics are really really bad.
Some of the character models are great, but yeah all the skyboxes are still what look like very blurry JPGs and the background areas in some levels look like they were legitimately taken from a 360 launch title.

Not that boosting my overall K/D in Gold Tier on Team Arena isn't doing wonderful things for my ego, but damn it's a slow grind to level up when you're playing with randoms who quit or just aren't great at objective modes.

3 wins to rank up, 1 loss to rank down? That seems harsh...
 
Man this game is so good. Warzone is great, and breakout is too. Thought I was bad (I am) then I just spectated Frankie's last game. Made me feel infinitely better. Lol

Completed an awesome comeback with my first spree of Halo 5 and the connection whiffed after the game ended and no log was kept. Harrumph.

Always dash toward the side opposite their sword. I'm pretty sure it's their right arm that they carry the sword with, so if you're looking at them head on and they're coming to swipe at you the sword should be to your left, always dash past them or away to your right.

I just wanna say that the design on that last fight is just fucking unfair for solo players. Checkpoints make it easier but still, on legendary that must be such a drag. The laser promethean things spawning in after defeating the second warden makes 90 percent of the area available unavailable without taking them out first and worrying about the warden. It's cray.

You can skip it with some strategic jumping, ground pounding and clambering.
 
so I keep running into issues that people who I am playing with are not. The last 2 days of playing I will get random times in matches where I "lag" and everyone on my screen is running into a wall then I'll rubber band to somewhere on the map where I usually end up dead. Someone told me it might be a problem with the preview dash. Anyone else experiencing this?

I never said the game looked ugly or looked like garbage or even bad, in fact I complemented the character models. For a 60fps game it looks fine, but it is by not some objectively "gorgeous" game. Grow up.
 
Anyone else feel like the vanilla mongoose should be a "loadout vehicle" in warzone? Just something you can spawn to quickly get from place to place without having to waste energy?

Im having a lot of fun in arena, im a horrible player but its fun anyway.

Im almost finishing the campaign, im at the last boss i think, died 20x :(.
 
It is lovely looking game for sure. Pretty crazy how good it looks given their goal for 60fps across the board.

It absolutely IS.

I mean if you want to praise the art style or character models great. But on a technical merit game is not good, legitimately maybe the worst textures I've seen in a AAA game this generation.

I dont want to trash the whole game, shooting feels solid and hey the framerate is rock solid, just the campaign so far is hella weak imo. I've heard it ramps up though so I'm not writing it off yet
 
Christ do I hate Regret. I always do shit on that map, which makes me hate it and I get it three to four times in a row all the fucking time.

I've completed the campaign on solo legendary and i have to say i disagree. On Co-op the wardens have extra health so shooting them in the back is needed. On solo you can easily kill them by just shooting their head. Also 4 inceneration cannonades are placed in that area, enough to kill two of them easily. For the last you just have to stand on top of the platforms and shoot the last warden in the head while dodging his ranged attacks.

Why is an unplaced guy in my match of SWAT at Onyx rank... He went 6-19, it can't be helped if he isn't at this level but he shouldnt have faced us. Life.

That would be nice. Can take a little to long sometimes in warzone to walk to the action
 
Probably in a party with someone on your team. Unless you knew the other players...

I guess so. That's why we need some social playlists, if someone brought him in that's just silly. But if they want to play together there isn't much choice I guess.
 
Solo, Legendary:

I almost broke my controller in two in the first Warden fight. I brought an incendiary cannon with me, but not enough ammo to bring the Warden down. Constant stream of soldiers wearing you down and AI team mates made me crazy. Probably would've lost my shit if it weren't for an extra cannon on a floating platform.

Pro tips for the following Warden fights?
 
Wow the game DVR thing doesn't record voice chat? That sucks.
This guy was losing his shit on the results screen because we came back from being 0-2 down in CTF and won.
 
You know what DLC I would buy for this?
