Oh lord.

I'm so afraid. I have no clue what I should get it on.

My PC runs Mad Max at high CPU numbers, like in the 90s. But no heat problems arise, and the damn game runs perfect on High.

But I don't want to chance it with Fallout 4. I have a crappy FX4300, and I'm betting this is a CPU dependent game.

Then again, the PS4 version won't get mods any time soon. And 30FPS is kind of annoying if I can get 60 on my PC.

I am really curious about the new enemy behaviour, like the ghouls crawling through windows and what not. Didn't they say they would also crawl on the ground like zombies?

Yeah, and apparently you can shoot off the ghouls' limbs and they'll hold momentum or claw their way toward you. Nothing groundbreaking, but a nice touch.

I'm loving what I'm seeing so far. The music adds to the creepy atmosphere (more violin I hear), sound design is an improvement, and the gunplay seems serviceable.

There's a jazz style song by Linda Carter that includes reference to caps and mutants. Feels like the natural extension of the series. Bethesda have love for the lore, clearly.

LOL if there is no Karma / Morality and the speech options do not make it clear that I am using my charisma/intelligence to sway them my way my preferred play style is kind of useless

Nevertheless, I will do my best to be a pure hearted wastelander that helps as many people as possible (steals from some people now and again because, hey! who doesn't!) and will talk you under the table

Until we get the full game there's no way of knowing how in depth the consequences of your actions are. Many people lamented the Karma system because it just didn't work: murdering a raider is ok, but stealing from him isn't?

Also the game will tell you when you are making a CHM dialog option.

I don't see why Bethesda even bothers to use SPECIAL. Almost every Charisma perk is combat-related. What's the point?

So, can someone recap what's different about the dialog box one more time?

Are there no consequences to the choice you make anymore making this a much more linear experience? Or do they simply have you make clear choices with your alliances rather than put you and other people's reaction to you at risk?

We're not sure about the deeper or longer term intricacies yet, but the dialogue system is not as shallow as some people originally feared. There are definitely consequences to decisions, and we've seen higher Charisma stats allowing the player to demand extra payment for quests.

Just perused 3 and New Vegas perks. Black Widow/Lady Killer, Cherchez La Femme/Confirmed Bachelor, Child at Heart, and Impartial Mediation were the only perks that were exclusively dialogue-related. The rest were combat and stat related

And in New Vegas charisma's main role was to increase companion nerve, which was combat related.

The dumb ones like FO3. I believe they're made just like the FO3 ones. The New Vegas ones are based off the FO1 and FO2 ones.

neither will pc at best pc just gets to change ini files but yeah ps4 will get them last probably... but didnt they wait like 6 months or something for skyrims editor cant remember...

I didn't realise simply had sold through their allocation till yesterday, when a friend tried to use them. I hope to God they haven't over-sold...

yeah it looks like it plays really well, the gun play i mean and I personally play at nighttime almost all the time, it helps with the LOD... it's been four years since I played a fallout game and videos like this really doesn't help kappa

Greenmangaming says they will send out keys once they get them. They will probably be sent out whenever the steam preload goes up which might be sometime this weekend. Pete Hines confirmed that preloads will be available for all systems.
