That would be pretty cool.
Here's a mix of my wishlist/what I expect for 2017:
1. Sagat (likely)
2. Akuma (definitely, and hopefully the last SF2 character in this game)
3. Dudley (Probably the second most popular 3rd Strike character)
4. Maki (great replacement for Guy)
5. Eagle (pleaaase)
6. Q (popular but who knows, Balrog will already be in the game).

I think they would probably change Q around if they brought him back. If I could get him to go along with Juri. I wouldn't need another SF game.

There's still a couple of characters for season 2 that could push your favorite character to 2018. Not saying these characters will get in (who knows), but some of those are fairly popular with the casuals and some with the more hardcore crowd.

Yeah, we aren't even considering that they'll likely create new characters as DLC, too. I understand if they do 6 a year for the same period of time between vanilla SF4 and USF4 we will exceed the roster size of 4 but I really hope we get more than 6 a year.

Nah ... He'll probably rip off the robe or something. I dont think Capcom is afraid of having him just wearing a thong or something. Sagat outfit in SFxT was also similar.
Cody is my favorite character, and my affection for Guy comes from a very similar place. That being said, if Lucia and Maki showed up instead, I would be okay with that. Would I GREATLY prefer if all four made it into the game? Absolutely. Though, in all honesty, I want season two (also, season three and four) to be nothing but Final Fight characters. I understand that they can't just appeal to me at this point. There has to be a balance.
That being said, at least one (the more the better, though) Final Fight character from now on in every "season" would be divine.
Thankfully, Cody has somehow become a somewhat popular character. So I have hope.
They should bring back more characters from the beat 'em ups capcom made tbh

They might. I mean there are about as many FF character as Alpha,3S chars in USF4. Maki is cool , but after the original FF characters , I felt the other FF designs weren't as good.
I think both will make it in , most likely in the same pack. But if it was just one , I feel it will be Guy. I know Cody is more popular , but Guy just seems more associated with SF than the other Final Fight characters. He is actually related to the plot and other main SF characters like Rose,Bison and been in more games.
Haggar feels like the official FF rep for MvC.

That VTrigger > air reset setup looks fucking scary, I can't wait to see when that gets perfected.
Personally, I feel like Maki is the only "new" character to be on the same level as the original three. I also like Lucia a lot, as she is a very simple character (design wise), which is line with the classic characters. Carlos, Dean, and Kyle would all need SERIOUS work.
Well, if it has to be one or the other, I hope things break in the direction of Cody.

Yea I feel the same way , at which point they might as well make a new character. I feel those 3 aren't iconic or unique.
Cody is literally the only street fighter character in street fighter.

I think this would be pretty nice other than Maki. I'd take Guy over here anyday if the week. Nothing against her in particular though.
The first three I think are pretty likely the other 3 not so much, I'd live to see Eagle and Q return though.
We're already getting Lynn Kurosawa, I think that's enough

I am genuinely curious when we will get the next "Birdie" moment. Where Capcom picks a random character from the bottom pile and revamps them entirely. Dhalsim doesnt really count, he is pretty iconic and even in the popularity poll hes kinda mid-tier.

I only say Maki because I think they're trying to introduce characters that haven't been seen awhile from the Alpha and 3 series (Maki, Karin, Nash, Birdie, Alex, Urien) as opposed to the most popular characters from those games. In reality, I think Cody would make it in before the those two.

Well She and Sodom are the only new FF characters that been teased in background stages. Previously Alex,Hugo and Mika were teased in stages and we eventually got them.
Wouldn't be surprised if we got a Final Fight Hero pack ( Cody,Guy,Maki,Haggar) and then later a Final Fight Villain Pack ( Rolento,Hugo,Poison,Sodom )
All of them are popular characters and I think we will get way more than 6 next year.
I hope we get more than 6 a year but I would be very, very surprised if they do "packs" of any group of characters. Apparently certain series are divisive so I think they'll want to try and please people from every camp as they release characters throughout the year.

Only the London one. But one is more than enough , Mika and Alex also just got some bill board poster as a tease.
Also its very interesting that Cody in that poster is the old good guy Cody. Curious if that is also hinting at the og design back , perhaps his gameplay is going to get revamped then.

He's a racist character design, but in like a lovable way
I mean that he's a simple archetype and not a weird, overdone design. He's funny and adds variety to the roster (not only because Hawk was the only Mexican before, but because his gameplay style is pretty unique too).
I mean, what's racist about him? That his moves are named after Mexican dishes? I've never encountered anyone here in Mexico who found that offensive.

Ehhh the only dumb thing about Dhalsim is how he says "yoga" for literally everything. I mean Flame and Fire is ok. But when he grabs you and says "Yoga,Yoga,Yoga..." that just sounds hella retarded. , Like he is some Pokemon or something. Fuerte isnt that bad. Like I said hes a Chef themed wrestler , and wrestlers in general are silly like that.
