The streamer is just barely started playing the game, and now he already has the access to
power armor and settlement.
Kinda disappointed, tbh. I mean, I expected those features will come way later in mid-game.

Isn't it on a limited power supply though? I think it'd be cool that if your power armor runs outta juice it stops dead in it's tracks and stays there until you remedy that. Even if you gotta travel miles. Or you have to call in a whirly-bird to come scoop it up. I have no clue though

The power armor, at least, cannot be used unless you have a power core, which you don't seem to have access to.

That's a weird design choice. Why not spread that stuff out a bit? At least make the
power armor
some neat find halfway through the game or something.

Yeah, that's true.
I guess I'm just way too used to how it worked in the previous games.

I think those choices are good actually. Instead of coming across them later in the game and changing things in a big way quite suddenly, you start with them early and they can "grow" along with you.

Oh my god that is an ugly looking child. She looks like some dwarf with some male face.

You can't kill children. Thanks a lot Todd Howard.

I didn't know where to post this so I chose this thread-There's new info, but the collectible books/magazines in this game
Aren't just skill ups, they actually provide unique bonuses

One such magazine, "Hot Rodder" gives you a new paint job for your Power armor)

I am really looking forward to the game no question about it. The equipment customization, the layered armor and the village building seem like a godsend from a role playing perspective. However a huge gripe that's been bugging me since E3 and all my friends think I'm crazy and I know this has been talked about to death, but I gotta get it out there.

I can not stand the voice acting on the main character.

It's not that the actor is doing a bad job at all. I think he does a fantastic job as a default voice. Just from a role playing standpoint it absolutely kills any immersion or depth to any character I make because now I have to "fit" a character I make with the voice that the actor has. It seems like a silly complaint but every so often I like to make a run through a fallout game as a wacky character that would in no way fit this guy's voice or delivery of speech. For example, a few months ago I thought it would be funny if I created Steve Urkel from Family Matters and play through the whole game with 10 Int 1 Per 1 Str 7 Chr and the like and I would imagine Urkel's voice and think about that characters moralistic dilemma concerning difficult life altering choices. It was really fun and that part of the role playing means a lot to me in these games. Unfortunately, it seems I can't have those fun times anymore until someone makes a "No MC Voice" mod on Nexus or something similar.

And what comes with the voice acting also comes the dialogue wheel which is another step backward not from a roleplay aspect but a design aspect. Fallout always had an image it could honestly call it's own and with the addition of a dialogue wheel now I'll forever associate it with Bioware games dialogue choices and that, in my opinion, never something anyone, let alone a big company like Bethesda, should do. It's one thing to draw inspiration from a created work but it is the same exact design with the same exact use. Up is more info. Right is an angry response. Left is nice. Down is sarcastic. I'm not saying that the old dialogue choice box was theirs from the start but it's one of the many staples of the series that they threw away and I feel like they could have implemented it in some way shape or form without resorting to use Bioware's design outright.

Sorry for stemming off topic but I really needed to get that off my chest. Like I said before every other aspect of the game looks great including most of the new stuff. Hoping I can find something new in this entry to fill a few empty voids.

Hmmm, pretty disappointing if visual weapon holstering is out. I hope it's just caster error / internet hear say but I dunno at this point. It's a small thing but death by a thousand cuts comes to mind.

I'm sorry, what?
I didn't see the stream, are you saying you can't lower your gun?

Yeah

I don't really like the new power armor so I wish I could ignore it, but
getting it early kinda sounds like it'd be an integral part of any playthrough
. We'll see.

Oh, you're not alone, no matter how many great things I see about this game, every time I see the dialogue part pop up, it's an instant turn-off.
It completely goes in the way of how I enjoy playing those games.

I can't believe the game comes out in less than a week.... I want that to be sooner but I am no where near done my website for the game. Constant struggle between wanting to play the game and wanting more time to make a website.

Think it's down again.

Also he turned on a bunch of cheats in the console so it got kind of boring to watch after that. He was just running around to areas he shouldn't be in and killing stuff once he turned them on.
Glad I stopped watching a while ago. I got my fix I needed, less than a week now!
