Just arrived in thread, can someone link me up?
So if people are playing on PC does that mean I'd actually be able to play it if I got a physical pc copy early, even though it's a steam copy? I thought it wouldn't work until the game is on the servers and activated?

To me it actually adds immersion - I hate games where the character doesn't talk. Characters talk to you and you're just mute pressing some text on screen. Actually hearing your character talk back is so much better for me - and increases immersion by making it more believable.I am really looking forward to the game no question about it. The equipment customization, the layered armor and the village building seem like a godsend from a role playing perspective. However a huge gripe that's been bugging me since E3 and all my friends think I'm crazy and I know this has been talked about to death, but I gotta get it out there.
I can not stand the voice acting on the main character.
It's not that the actor is doing a bad job at all. I think he does a fantastic job as a default voice. Just from a role playing standpoint it absolutely kills any immersion or depth to any character I make because now I have to "fit" a character I make with the voice that the actor has. It seems like a silly complaint but every so often I like to make a run through a fallout game as a wacky character that would in no way fit this guy's voice or delivery of speech. For example, a few months ago I thought it would be funny if I created Steve Urkel from Family Matters and play through the whole game with 10 Int 1 Per 1 Str 7 Chr and the like and I would imagine Urkel's voice and think about that characters moralistic dilemma concerning difficult life altering choices. It was really fun and that part of the role playing means a lot to me in these games. Unfortunately, it seems I can't have those fun times anymore until someone makes a "No MC Voice" mod on Nexus or something similar.
And what comes with the voice acting also comes the dialogue wheel which is another step backward not from a roleplay aspect but a design aspect. Fallout always had an image it could honestly call it's own and with the addition of a dialogue wheel now I'll forever associate it with Bioware games dialogue choices and that, in my opinion, never something anyone, let alone a big company like Bethesda, should do. It's one thing to draw inspiration from a created work but it is the same exact design with the same exact use. Up is more info. Right is an angry response. Left is nice. Down is sarcastic. I'm not saying that the old dialogue choice box was theirs from the start but it's one of the many staples of the series that they threw away and I feel like they could have implemented it in some way shape or form without resorting to use Bioware's design outright.
Sorry for stemming off topic but I really needed to get that off my chest. Like I said before every other aspect of the game looks great including most of the new stuff. Hoping I can find something new in this entry to fill a few empty voids.
Preordered it yesterday for PS4 (as there are no other options for me).
No real interest in the setting. In addition I played F3 on my PS3 for half an hour and it was a garbage performance experience. Bought Skyrim on PS3 and while fun, 50hrs in everything was fucked.
And yet... I'm kinda excited. As long as my load/save files won't be fucked over like last gen on Sony's console, I will be fine. If they DO fuck it up again, I'm done.
Got the PS4 version of the game.
What does everyone want to see?
So far I have (including suggestions from GAF users):
- Character creation
- Conversation with branching dialogue
- Any glitches/funny parts, etc.
- Loading times (difference in loading interior, exterior and just overall)
- Crafting and settlement
- Easter eggs
- Cameos
- Glitches
- Spec Build
- Different variables
- Value perks
Got the PS4 version of the game.

I gambled fifty bucks not my soul, I will be fine. ;-) With my expectations so low, Fallout 4 must be really atriocious to disappoint me in a serious way. And I love being able to play from the start and be part of the discussion, that's half the fun. *shrug* Even if I don't particularly like it in the end, I have hard time seeing how it would be a total waste of time on money. You have no real interest in the setting, didn't get on with the last game too well, but you pre-ordered anyway? What is wrong with this pre-order culture!? I'm HYPED for this game but refuse to hand out money in advance, especially for a game with review dates that are embargoed until release day.
Got the PS4 version of the game.

Stream is up at the other place that was linked to a while ago
Well If you don't mind I really wanna know how the loading screen looks is it like Skyrim's?
When are the reviews coming out?
It is. Still a 3d model floating in an empty space with some text offering player advice or providing additional lore.
Got the PS4 version of the game.

Think he means when you holster your weapon it doesn't show up on your character visually. Idk if it's true or not btw.
Has there been a verdict for multi console owners on which version to get?
I'd prefer buying on Ps4 but I'm afraid performance/visuals will be favored on the Xbox One, due to Bethesda's history with Xbox.
I NEED to know if there is an internal language selector, not changing the language from the system, no, if the game specifically has an option to do this.Got the PS4 version of the game.

If they to something like that, they can fuck themselves really fucking hard.
I don't think they will, but the df article will show.
Do we have any idea when the DF verdict will go live?

How much do Stimpaks heal?
Hmmm, pretty disappointing if visual weapon holstering is out. I hope it's just caster error / internet hear say but I dunno at this point. It's a small thing but death by a thousand cuts comes to mind.
Probably 30-60 over time + medicine skill. How much do Stimpaks heal?

How much do Stimpaks heal?
Why would this matter for a game that is mostly played in 1st person?
