Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

That's if you're under the ideology that wins/losses should be the ranking factor, it's a tautology. I think the rank should be a 1.0 k/d ratio (or something involving assists as well). That way, if you are playing with randoms but against teams, it would be more balanced. I'm speaking about slayer gametypes, btw. If it were objective game types, the objectives should be a higher factor.

Assists should count for half as much as kills then, that would at least help. Also I previously said I think wins should still factor in, they just shouldn't be the end all be all. I'm all over the place though, my bad.

Assist and win did matter in in Rank reach, that didnt stop people for doing that, because Kill were always more important than Assist. what you are proposing already was done and it didnt work.

Fair enough. I honestly didn't have the same experience as you. My games were very close in reach ranked matches and way fewer people quit because of the more individually based system. Maybe I'm remembering wrong.

We (the charred, smoking ruins of Team Schooly D) are looking to get a weekly game night going. Current plan is to host Warzone Wednesdays to run Warzone with a full party every--you guessed it--Wednesday night. The TSD Programming Krewe has some cool stuff in the pipe using the Halo 5 public API that will eventually be tied in to the events, but that'll come later.

Anyone down to play at 8:30 PM Pacific? If so, reply or message me with your gamertag and let's do something great.

I dont think that clip was a good showcase of camo...

more like a good showcase of how the grenades are FAR too plentiful and powerful lol... what did you like chuck 6 grenades in the span of 30 seconds ;P

Edit: Yes... yes you did... 6 grenades lol (no hate here on your playstyle... id've done the same exact thing - just a commentary on how there are too damn many grenades and that they're too powerful on Arena maps.)

Damn west coast superiority syndrome. Some of us need sleep!

(Have fun.)

Last night I came to the realization last night that I hate 4v4. I perform awfully for some reason. Both in kill/death and win/lose. I'm really missing big team battle. I guess I'll have to stick with Warzone until they bring back big team battle.

People Quit as much as they do now, if a player was doing bad in his KD, he was going to quit, maybe you didn't noticed people baiting you, but it was very bad in the second season of Arena.

Like I said the problem of using KDA as part of the factor for your rank is that you will have people from your team competing against you, even if you could end up with a W, you unconsciously will try to get more kills than your teammates, and more often than not, that same competition, will end up with players that had the Kill, just to be stolen by one of your teammate that is basically competing against you.

When Im with my teammates playing Halo Im Usually finish with this numbers similar to this : 9-6-7, You say "you didnt do much", but there is a meta game going on in Halo that goes beyond your KDA, from picking up and hogging a power weapon to calling out the position of a enemy spartan, to spawn canceling, etc, this subtle things that cant be quantified, are as Important as getting a Kill.

Agreed. I can't get into the "army of Spartans" direction that the series has become. And I couldn't care less about Master Chief and Cortana's "love" story. This is not the kind of game that needs a romantic relationship to be the primary impetus that drives the plot.

Having just played 4 and 5 this past weekend for the first time, it really creeps me out.

I think Raid on Apex 7 has become my new all-time favorite Halo map.

Previous holder: Headlong

The reasons why this Halo is the best Halo since 2 keep stacking up lol

Well seems like im out of luck, sold out it is.

They'll have limited stock available later this month :(

I don't think they expected this level of demand.

Actually, there has been talk about deputizing someone on the East coast to start things earlier and keep it rolling until the West coast folk get on. We just don't have anyone willing and able right now.

The above is a lie. What we're really trying to do is use artificial scarcity to generate hype. In a few weeks, the East coasters will be begging to join in. And that's when we start charging a membership fee and make enough money to leave the country and buy one of the Greek islands outright.

I'm tempted to switch to Helljumper so the controls are similar across Halo and Destiny, but it just feels weird to aim with LT in Halo.
