I actually don't mind a story mode like this as a visual novel. MKX got pretty hammy, and SF lends itself well to a comicbook like tale.
It's just I don't like Udon's art very much, and as much as lore doesn't matter, really hope they don't use Udon's shit as a base.
Regardless, it's a step up and looks enjoyable at the very least.I like the work they put into the costumes. Doubt they'll cover everyone's backstories but seeing "sick" birdie would be nice

To be fair, MK Deception's story had a bunch of tutorials. But then again that game had a huge open world component too.
As for that Ryu outfit, I hope that they give him his classic gloves too. Ah well, I'm probably being too nitpicky.
