Is it just me or is heroic just awful? Halo 1 was the only other game I beat on heroic but it seemed totally fair. Here your team's ai seems like absolute garbage and the enemies don't seem smart they just know where you are magically and have perfect aim. I find myself rage quitting after every hour of play.

Mcc doesn't work for me. Can only find about 3 or 4 matches a day searching most of the day. If u want to play I don't have much choice.

Heroic and Legendary feel good to me in this game. I sat down last night for 30 minutes and got through 60% of Swords of Sangehelios on Legendary without even dying.
Plus I am a huge campaign guy and have played through every Halo game more then any man should. Halo 5 might be my favorite balancing in difficulty.

Heroic in Halo CE kicks my ass. Heroic in this game feels like Normal mode in Halo 4.
no, heroic seemed pretty easy.
Rushing for melees is usually never a good idea, unless you know their is only one or two enemies, or its for an assassination. But yes, you will die pretty fast.

There's a noticeable difference if you play through CE in Heroic and then immediately jump in to H2A. I couldn't believe how easy 2 felt compared to the absolute nightmare 1 is.
On another note, as much as I'm having fun with H5 (the most I've had since 3) I cannot stress out enough how much I hate the Swatnums + Pegasus/Orion combination. They play terrible, if you happen to spawn away from the big stair section on Pegasus or on the Sniper spawn in Orion, good luck trying to get a grip of the map, since you're a fucking easy target.
I found Heroic fine and even Legendary in 5 to be the least rage inducing playthrough I've had with Halo. Just make sure you've giving your squad orders and targets to attack. As soon as you tell them to actually kill something, they suddenly learn how to shoot. Apart from that, take your time, hold back, use cover etc.

lol there are two Spawn zones in Pegasus on opposite ends of that long staircase alley. You can literally spawn kill the other team across the map over and over.

Halo CE Heroic and Legendary being the hardest? Really?I guess I must have played Halo CE way too much, because it doesn't feel that hard to me. Playing Halo CE on Heroic is pretty relaxing, actually.
Halo 2 Legendary is still the hardest for me (to the point where it stops being fun) followed by Reach. Both games had plenty of bullshit, like jackal snipers, FRG grunts, psychic Wraiths, etc. I think Halo CE is the most fair when it comes to the diffculty. Very few cheap deaths.
Yeah, Flood with RL are probably the only enemy that feels a bit cheap. Thankfully, I remember all their spawns, so they don't bother me much anymore.

2-flag on Valhalla will forever be my most loved Halo MP mode. So many memories. Halo 3 BTB was this nexus of great maps and the pinnacle of Bungie's combat sandbox design. Those man cannons on Avalanche, good lord. Wheee!
100% agreed. CTF on Valhalla is the best ever.
Finally got visor colors and assassinations today. Feels good. Bronze packs really are the way to go. Only about 60 commons perms left. Warzone Assault is probably the most req-efficient mode (about 1200 for 6 minute matches). SWAT is probably the most efficient arena mode (matches never last more than 6 minutes and grant about 500-700.
Also legendary seems easy in this game. I actually solo'd a level on legendary, and I suck at Halo campaigns.

Sneaking on enemies in this one feels almost impossible unless they are actively shooting someone else. Enemies dont always react when shot (charge pistol to Elite used to stun 100% of the time...now there is a chance it will not). Prometheans sometimes teleport close distance quickly and nearly oneshot you, etc. Hunters sometimes insta shoot or 180 really quickly to get you.
Yet...it's actually EASIER due to the get out of jail free card from unlimited buddy revives.
If you are having a hard time, tell your teammates to focus fire constantly. Shields go down quick, and enemies that feel spongy suddenly are not. I dont know where the hell your buddy AI shoots when you dont order them to do anything, but almost nothing gets done unless you give the order

I don't think they will change them to BR starts just out of principal. After playing swat, the BR is clearly the more reliable weapon and I think arena would be a lot better with BR/AR starts and a 3sk pistol.
I think BR starts are done. People are already complaining that Arena is too pro friendly and way less casual. I love the BR in this game, but I think beyond an eventual HCS playlist (which team arena is supposed to be) or maybe a weekend Slayer Pro list that might have that.
Does anyone else prefer Swatnums to Swat? I don't know, but with BRs you got to think about when to scope more. With Swatnums, you seem to have a better idea of if you're gonna need to scope to get a shot or not. Or at least that's how it is to me.
Plus Swatnums feel like you don't die as quickly, since ranged shots are less reliable.
