Bison apparently fights Necaili? It sounds like him. Sounds like Necaili also has a time limit on how long he can fight, or how long his poison "works" on a fighter.Probably plays into his whole thing about consuming/eating souls of strong people. Maybe he digests them or wears them down with that poison and after five minutes, they die/become his? Bison seems unaffected.

Birdie is an eternal jobber.

Yeah that is the tutorial, but the story mode is more than likely going to follow that exact format of still scenes with voice over. Only difference will be the fights will be just fights, no "Perform a haoduken on Ken"

I'd be down for an SF1 Birdie skin but I'd imagine there would be people that would find it a bit problematic for lack of a better term.

Rufus seems better to me cos it's easier to believe he is not real. Birdie looks more human and his movement speed can be guessed at a glance. That beer belly is not crazy like whatever Rufus got his shape from(eggplant?) and all the nasty stuff he is doing just ruins him.

Think I've already explained several times that I pick characters based off whether I like them first and I just adapt to their gameplay after

Rereading it the post might come across as more than I intended. My reaction is more of a 'meh' than anything particularly passionate. I've already got Mika and Karin with Ibuki and Juri down the line so I'm pretty happy overall. I was wondering if Fan would be someone I'd like but the voice heavily indicates otherwise so it just means I won't be waiting for their reveal is all. Hope some people enjoy the new addition though :3
That all said I'm a tiny bit dissapointed they didn't go for 2/2 parity on the newcomers but considering this is the sf roster with the most female characters in it to date I'm not too hung up about it.

Visual novel story style allows for more actual story instead of poorly animated cutscenes that don't make sense.

If the art was better i'd be in less of a foul mood. When smaller fighting game companies are beating you there's a problem. Especially when you're the "biggest" fighting game.

The main positive I have is his voice, I really like that. But I still don't feel the design.

I'm very happy with the visuall novel format as I usually enjoy arcsys's story modes. But the art in this tutorial tidbit is really subpar IMO. Plus it doesn't match the general look of the game itself.
My hope for a world-tour like mode is stronger than ever, and so will be my disappointment I guess.

Still I don't think it's entirely fair to basically go "This is Street Fighter you shouldn't expect much". Shouldn't we be expecting more than this, especially for what is basically the biggest fighting game franchise? When you're getting beat out by smaller studios it's rather sad. As I said before i'm more in the casual crowd so you can dismiss my opinions I suppose. Since I won't be caring about evo or what frame a combo will end at. But if I showed this to anyone on the fence, it wouldn't sway them to buy the game. I would think getting more casual purchases on board especially on the first "release" would be a good idea for everyone.

All I saw was a Guile statue and even then, there was Ryu in the teaser/trailer so that doesn't tell us much.
