The casual base would still buy this game regardless, and it won't be the casual base that'll keep this game going; it'd be just like SF4.

I was expecting Balrog and Guile to be the first two out the door anyway.
They probably have a decent amount of stuff to do in the story between Shadowlaw and Charlie

Balrog makes sense to release first because the currency system is named after him

Yup, with the teaser pic, that comic, and the new ad, these two are looking more and more like the first two out of the gate, which I'm happy about. They bring the most different play styles. I'm thinking the teaser image is going to be the order.
Yeah, casual players drop games within the first month which is why Day 1 DLC is so prevalent. They won't buy DLC for a game they are no longer playing.
And out of the six, Balrog and Guile appeal go casual fans the most. The people who are likely going to buy Alex and Urien are the people who will be playing this game through 2016.

But even then most profit for a game is made day 1. Which is where the casual base brings in so much. My whole thing is that group should be getting something more than this. Even just better artwork would go a long way. I don't like the excuse "well it's street fighter and they won't play the game later".

Balrog is gonna be really fun in this game. The V system is gonna add a lot to his cohesive playstyle of being able to switch between being a defensive fortress or an offensive juggernaut depending on the player. SFV doesn't have a character like that yet.
They'll probably spice him up too visually. Bruh I'm gonna be rocking the hell out of the shadaloo kings in this game. (+ Fan maybe???)

Alex been missing in action for a while and would have been better if moves forward and one of them got moved back. Maybe Guile since Nash is there. Not the same but...
Maybe more so because he's a grappler hybrid, and the other DLC characters have styles less represented.

Only if you go by Harada's series lifetime numbers. If we're going by which series is the most popular in recent times (this gen and last) Smash, MK, and SF are on top.

Depends so much on regions as well, and so much at GAF is anecdotal or US-centric. MK is entirely unknown in Japan, and Tekken hasn't broken a million since Tekken 3. Worldwide, I'd be surprised if SF and Smash weren't on top. It'd be interesting to hear from posters in South America and Europe on sales there.

That upcoming Comic Cover up there is so weird. Stock SF poses for each character, and Guile is totally getting that boom off at point blank with his arms THAT far back, haha. Someone's about to get c.LP'd out of startup.
Anywho, so many leaks. Fan being something general Tao Pai Pai / Master Asia like would be cool. But I really wish we'd see SF get an older woman as a character one of these days. Old martial artist can come in a wider variety of flavours, y'klnow?
The amount of leaks for this game totally support the idea as to why demos and public access previews are used less and less in the industry. The amount of found content is getting a bit ridiculous. At the same time, if this is all according to plan, a player-manipulating drip feed, it's somewhat genius. This generates more interest and conversation in the enthusiast circles than any Gamespot or IGN article ever would.

It's fine to keep expectations in check, but don't immediately dismiss something that you haven't even seen yet.
