Yeah, a video game's next iteration does not match personal expectations on style and shape, or expectations translated from other mediums (such as concept arts). That is inevitable.

Cammy reveal face was good. Different but good. Capcom changed it just because japanese players complained about it. They said she looked like that to please western audience. I like her in both ways.

f+HP > LK works, I know that. Not sure how useful that is.

Yep, she can link any light attack off of f.hp. Doesn't seem very useful when you can just go into target combo foe either damage or oki.
