So that's just some of the names?
There should be another 900 or something.

Yeah, someone on Reddit is/was taking requests on names to test, so that's only what has been tested. Should be about 1000 names total from what I've heard.

One person doing testing and he has ~45min long tutorial each time he wants to test new name. No way he can test out hundreds of names, at least if he wants to keep his sanity.

I guess the chances that Juri is recorded are 1:100000000...

Game looks still great of course! Many hundreds hours of fun.

Stay away from the Fallout Reddit... Lots of trolls changing mid sentence comments to spoil the ending and PM'ing spoilers to random members.

Ragnar Lodbrok, is that you?

Had to google it. I've never seen that show. Now I'm thinking about how weird it is to effectively get to name yourself when you start posting to the internet. GAF is the only place on the internet where I don't go by rragnaar or Rag. Anyway, I'll stop rambling.

Get your point , Iam talking about games like Souls or Witcher 3 where you find that fantastic weapon and it degrades but you can fix it with skills and tools. No need to have tons of the same.

I would have liked this too.

Not too fond of finding a gun and keeping it forever. Especially if ammo is considerably high. It just feels nice to have a weapon breakdown when I'm in the middle of somewhere and need to be resourceful (use other guns, repair, be more sneaky).

Apparently ammo is plenty too, so it just sounds way too likely that the game gives you easy access to guns and ammo. It just doesn't sound right to me.

Also, I wish they'd borrow Witcher's fast travel system.

Can someone explain how this PS4 Pre-loading stuff is going to work?

I go to the place to pick up my copy of the game and then what?

So there could be more right? I don't see Colin on there =[ yet they have "Codsworth" and John Cena. What the shit.

There is more, a lot more. Those just ones that Reddit poster has manages to test out. Testing single name takes long time thanks to lengthy tutorial.

Alright guys, there are over 1000 recorded names, so if you have a reasonably normal or even uncommon but not unheard of name then it's probably safe to just assume your name is recorded.

Apparently more ethnic names as in "Not commonly occurring in your '50s NA/EU" don't work.

Edit: He tested several, none worked. Now people are getting pissy at tester for refusing to test such names because previous batch didn't work, or something.

Pre-load is for digital only. If you digitally pre-order, an encrypted game file will download to your PS4. When the game releases it will be unlocked.

I believe you can change your name right before leaving the vault. And Codsworth is found less than a minute from the exit, so really if the tester saved at the right location, testing these one by one shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes each.

So here is my build. I plan to spec for max XP gains, max survival (health, resistance), extra carry weight using perks and access to locked/hacked items. I'm also going the "high-tech" slant and using energy weapons.

I don't plan of spending any Level points on upping my SPECIAL. Instead, all leveling up will go directly to Perks and I'll only unlock additional SPECIAL levels using bobble heads. For example, I eventually want the Nerd Rage perk but I'll wait until I find the Intelligence bobblehead before I acquire it.

Here is my plan for how I'm going to spend the first 26 levels on Perks taking advantage of getting the ones I want once I've reached their level requirements. I'm not going to be using companions, so Lone Wanderer is IMO the best perk in the game and the one I'll be starting with.

Level = Perk
============
01 = Lone Wanderer 1/3 (15% less damage + 50 Carry Weight)
02 = Lone Wanderer 2/3 (30% less damage + 100 Carry Weight)
03 = Fortune Finder 1/4 (Find more caps)
04 = Scrounger 1/4 (Find more ammo)
05 = Fortune Finder 2/4 (Find more caps, REQ LVL 5)
06 = Lifegiver 1/3 (+20 Health)
07 = Scrounger 2/4 (Find more ammo, REQ LVL 7)
08 = Lifegiver 2/3 (+20 Health, REQ LVL 8)
09 = Lifegiver 3/3 (+20 Health and Health Regeneration)
10 = Locksmith 1/4 (Pick Advanced locks)
11 = Hacker 1/4 (Hack Advanced terminals)
12 = Rad Resistant 1/3 (+10 Rad resistance)
13 = Rad Resistant 2/3 (+20 Rad resistance, REQ LVL 13)
14 = Locksmith 2/4 (Pick Expert locks)
15 = Hacker 2/4 (Hack Expert terminals)
16 = Medic 1/4 (Stimpaks restore 40%, RadAway restores 40%)
17 = Medic 2/4 (Stimpaks restore 60%, RadAway restores 60%)
18 = Robotics Expert 1/3 (Power off/self-destruct robots)
19 = Robotics Expert 2/3 (Incite robots to attack, REQ LVL 19)
20 = Mysterious Stranger 1/3 (Stranger appears in V.A.T.S)
21 = Aquaboy 1/2 (Take less Rads in water and can breath under water)
22 = Fortune Finder 3/4 (Find more caps)
23 = Scrounger 3/4 (Find more ammo)
24 = Hacker 3/4 (Hack Master terminals)
25 = Locksmith 3/4 (Pick Master locks)
26 = Rad Resistant 3/3 (+30 Radiation Resistance, REQ LVL 26)
