Problem solved!
I've found an old backup.
Data isn't up to date but the majority of the entries are already there which means the changes are quick.
Aquamarine said:I have some figures that I believe are much more accurate to the truth. However, these didn't come directly from Nintendo Co. Ltd.,'s internal archives, so I can't guarantee their accuracy.
It is as December 2014.isn't FE:Awakening at 1.79 millions or something?
?Oh Iwata *sigh*
Updated Fire Emblem Awakening LTD as December 2014 and added for each game the date for which the sales data is updated to.
How on earth did Link's Crossbow Training outsell Skyward Sword?

One released during the Wii's height of success, the other when everyone and his dog already moved on to greener pastures. How on earth did Link's Crossbow Training outsell Skyward Sword?

I'm always surprised how few hardware units the NES and SNES moved. They felt bigger than that.

One was released in 2007 (when Wii was booming) the other in 2011 (when Wii was dying down).
If you note the difference between SS and TP is even bigger and that's excluding the notable sales of TP on GC.
I don't think you can discount the art style as another reason.
Link's Crossbow Training was also $20, three times cheaper than other games.
Yeah, thats with the zapper included. I might be mistaken, but i think it was only sold with the zapper.Even with the zapper? This explain even more those sales.
I really don't see how that is that big of a deal here.
We are talking about Skyward Sword anno 2011, not Wind Waker anno 2002.You really don't think it's possible the cel shaded style is less appealing to the mainstream audience than the realistic TP style?

Finally: why is there no Wii U version of Wii Sports Resort by now, or a HD version Sunshine? Both sold very well relative to their fellow platform siblings so why not make updated versions Nintendo?
NES was Nintendo most successful home console until Wii that's why. Also, from a pure software sales point of view, it seems that it took Nintendo until the DS and Wii to reach and surpass the sales numbers of the NES days again in terms of big hits, which is quite baffling as well if you consider how much the total games market must have grown between then and now.

Thanks.
Keep in mind that what Sony communicated for PS1 is production shipment (that is how many they have manufactured) while Nintendo communicated for Wii the shipment (that is the units sold to retailers).Wii didn't outsell PS1?!
interesting.
Got updated figures for Nintendo (and other publishers) million seller.
I'm happy to announce Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Wii U) shipped more than 1 million
I'm going to update the thread later.
At least the price didn't entirely collapse (at least here in Europe).Nice! Now it just needs to sell all of those million(maybe with digital it's close?)

This could be good or sad, depending on how the figures are calculated.Got updated figures for Nintendo (and other publishers) million seller.

Wouldn't be surprised if half of its sales or so where from the US.Yea, I wonder what region it was strongest in. I recall it being in the German Top 100 in the mid-range somewhere for 2014.

If it includes digital then it's rather dissapointing given that there would be an amount that was basically a freebie. Think that it was a reward in several occassions.
i would be really interested in the Platinum Trinity. Also i would check the original post to see if there's some Pikimin 3 data, that game deserves a lot better than what it got.
