I work 6 am - 3:40 pm (or later for OT ?) EST tomorrow and it's gonna be a long work day.

Was gonna get this preloaded on Steam this weekend, but couldn't make it to Gamestop in time to trade in some random stuff for Steam wallet funds.

:(

Now I have to do that right after work tomorrow. Thankfully Gamestop is like 5 mins from home. Steam servers are probably gonna be HAMMERED around that time. I have decent internet connection, but not sure it'll be done with those 20 gigs or so by midnight even.

At least I'll get to play it somewhat tomorrow evening. I have a feeling I'm gonna look like a ghoul at work on Tuesday morning.

:***( i play stealth in fallout 100% of the time in F3 and NV......shame

So with ghouls and some other mobs
they aren't always just standing out in the open waiting for you to kill them. They hide in the holes in walls, under floors, under stairs, will crawl in through windows. You'll think you've cleared an area and run in to loot and all the sudden you get ambushed.
I've never seen raiders or super mutants spawn to scripted events.

General stealth: I haven't put any points into the sneak perk, but I wear light leather armor and hide in the dark. I'm usually able to snipe people without difficulty. My problem right now is I don't have a silencer so everyone hears me.

I know they are totally different game engines, however did I read someone post on here awhile back in this thread to possibly expect similar PC performance between The Witcher 3 and Fallout 4?

Never done this VPN early unlock method before, anyone know any free VPN they recommend for unlocking this early?

FlyVPN's free accounts have servers in AU and NZ, but there is a 20-minute session limit to be mindful of, which means switching to Offline Mode after the game has unlocked (your in-game status will cease if the VPN connections drops mid-game, which breaks Steamworks functionality). VPN Gate would be the better choice, provided there's an AU/NZ server to select when the time comes.

Did we ever get confirmation from players on how early we can get bobble heads? I know some can be easily accessed after quests but I wouldn't mind going around finding these early on if possible.

Thanks for the recomendations! Will try them out!

Fuck it... I'm just going to start off with 10 in Charisma. All the perks interest me and I'm not going to get a headache trying to find a bobble head for it and trying to carry around gear just for conversations.

What's the deal with me getting the top page post lately?

Ugh, if you see a F4 picture circulating facebook my advice is to not look. Chances are it will spoil the story all within a quick glance. :/

in combat is there a benefit to VATS?

I know you get a cool animation and it slows things down but is that it?

Is it more resource friendly? use less ammo? better damage?

im trying to see if I should rely mostly on vats which is a welcome change in the FPS era we are in or just go traditional shooting.

damn the PS4 theme you get for preordering the game is so fucking bad, it's basically a jpeg. Also i'm pissed that i'm gonna be working when this game unlocks.

Still haven't decide bt xbone and pc version. I really love going for achievements but the graphics fidelity is also calling me. SOMEONE MAKE UP MY MIND!

review copies are ps4. usually that is the better version, but get whatever version you'd rather play it on. they'll most likely be identical

I was planning on doing a Charisma and Intelligence build for my Walter White playthrough.

I'm guessing by some of the reactions here, Charisma seems to be a fun build right?

I found a couple relatively early on. I haven't looked up guides to find them though.
Oh cool. I'll have the guide with me but I'm now really considering slightly switching my build 1 point and spending 2 instead of 1 level in luck to get the crit skill. Largely because I need lockpicking. Plus there's no confirmation how early we can get perception bobblehead.
