last minute internal debates in my mind. Is there any reason to get it on xbox one(besides achievements, which I do care about) over PC. Are there any reported issues with the PC version at all? I have a 970 and an i5-3350p

I've been having this debate over the last few weeks.

No. Not with that PC. UNLESS, you are absolutely interested in the BC version of Fallout 3. I used to be big into achievements, but at the end of the day they are a meaningless stat.

Mods will come to PC first, and they'll not be curated by Bethesda, so you'll get the option to play whatever mods you want. You'll also have access to console commands, which in a Bethesda game can be a godsend. You'll be able to move a quest forward if it breaks, give yourself money/weapons/items if you want, no clip out of a the environment if you get stuck, amongst many many other reasons as to why having access to console commands can be a lifesaver in a game like this.

Yup, I have similar card as well (OCed 7870) and I'm confident in running Fallout 4 on ultra 30 fps.

If PC can handle game well then only reason to get on XBO is those achievements and GS(?). I'm not familiar with your CPU, but with quick glance it seems to be barely below i5 2500K in performance? Should be able to handle FO4, but you may want check with someone more familiar with model you have.



You need unlock all SPECIAL perks with level ups, none of them is given to you free. Because SPECIAL can't be lower than 1 you can always unlock at least that value 1 perk, when you level up that is.

Well Imo just achievements and a nice controller, with that rig though, I would choose the Pc version because of the gameplay mods and also the graphical ones for an already good looking game.

I believe there is indeed a DJ. Dunno if it's him or not.

It certainly has framerate drops - not only in interior, also outside. Sometimes even quick freezes (maybe half a second) when it's loading something midgame. But I also see why. f.e. dead bodies don't disappear, you can go loot them whenever. There's a lot of shit going on in the background.
It crashed about 6 times in maybe 20h of playtime.

Intresting. At this point I'm compiling impressions to sort of piece something togther to set my expectations.

No, that is just the amount needed to start playing. The whole game is around 32gb to download and should continue to download after the 4gb is done.

Yeah it may sound like it, but I believe that for long sessions of gaming,an xbox one controller its actually pretty good.
Imo keyboard and mouse is unconfortable for those kinds of situations and I dont think he has a controller for the pc. So I put it as as a point in favour.

Or do those bobbleheads have no effect at all in that case? I prefer to minmax stuff so stuff like this really interests me.

How does it work anyways? It began downloading when I turned my PS4 this morning--at first the progress bar showed 31.2 GB download but suddenly it turned into a 4.5 GB download....? I left my PS4 at Rest Mode so it can continue downloading while I go to work but I am not sure what happened back then... is it a normal thing?

SPECIAL never goes below 1 or above 10.

Yes Its normal, those 27 gb left are downloaded in the background, put your console in rest mode and wait till it downloads.
You can see the progress by pressing options on the game and selecting information.
It should tell how much download is left or if its done.

Couldn't tell you for certain, but in F3 bobbleheads weren't able to increase a SPECIAL beyond the 10 limit, so I doubt F4's are different in that regard.

Ah so it's a normal thing? The countdown clock thingy is still ticking down, so I was surprised when it began to download this morning. I assume when the countdown goes to zero it will allow me to download the whole stuff....? Because I really prefer to just complete the whole thing before I start playing.

No but if you have 10 in a special stat and you get the bobblehead and then get a debuff to subtract a point in that special stat, it will be 10 still and not 9
