A glaring oversight when the game is set in Boston with a large Irish heritage.
Couple of non-spoiler stuff from very early in the game:
-The extra SPECIAL book, which grants you a bonus SPECIAL stat is in your house AFTER the tutorial, under the drawer.
-There is +charisma gear (already at +3 and haven't have left the initial town yet). So that makes charisma checks way easier, if you know they will happen / reload.
-It seems some advanced mods (like tracking targeting, electro stun baton etc) require "Gun Nut" AND "Science". >_>
-Playing on Ultra, it runs uber smoothly, and quick load time is <2 seconds from an SSD. The game also look very nice to me.
-You don't need to "scrap" your junk items. E.g. A broom is automatically considered to be "(2) Wood".
I like my MC.
I couldn't get the women to look anything special tho.

Game looks way better in person than in screenshots, at least at max settings on PC. Thought the game looked pretty shitty in all the preview stuff. It won't be winning any graphics awards, but it's not a bad looking game at all, either.

If you type in any name into google translate and choose the country where the name is from it will perfectly pronounce any name. Its a brilliant tech.
That would remove the need to manually add names in they way they have done it.
Its probably difficult to build from scratch and too expensive to buy from google though.

Think I'll just do the same. Just tagging along with a friend to a midnight launch tonight, no way I'm paying £50 for it, especially with the euro/sterling exchange rate at the minute.. insanely high price.

The ways in which they ignore the advancements and improvements Obsidian made is really disappointing. Especially no hardcore mode and no need for doctor's bags. And the fact that your guns don't break down anymore but they still adhere to something as arbitrary and limiting as encumbrance seems like such a half-measure.
It doesn't seem like it's much of an RPG or much of an action game. It's just another Bethesda game except even more streamlined.

Yep it's silly. I don't attend midnight launches anymore. By the time I've queued, bought it, got home and installed everything, I am ready for bed.
I'll be bright and breezy in the morning and will be playing it by 10am. Plus I'll save £10 doing so!
Can you explain how this works please? Do we choose from a list of audio? Does Codsworth say two names i.e. first name and surname? Or just your first name?
