Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

I'm glad I don't like playing warzone so I can sell everything I get from packs helping me to get to 10000 points faster to buy another gold pack.

Since there seems to be some discussion regarding the DMR loadout, which REQ pack is the best to buy to increase the odds of getting one? Currently buying silver packs, but no luck as of yet.

DMR's are classed as rare, so silver and gold are your best chances.

It's purely RNG so maybe silver is better, twice the packs so more chance.

Are legendary weapons just MIA in the game? Not only have I not received any but I don't think I've been killed by any either. Where is Linda's sniper rifle they showed off pre-release? Where is the CE Magnum? The Spnkr?

The Magnum & Spnkr aren't in the game yet.

I'm sure there are, the problem is you have about 200 other weapon certs to go through before you'd probably roll one, heh.

I'd like to see the carbine moved to a loadout weapon, I don't understand why it costs actual points and you lose it on death.

Are any? Haven't seen a single sniper rifle variation now that I think about it.
Edit:
They are still pretty rare this was said during the first week recap.
Just 22 Oathsworn (Kelly’s Shotgun) REQs have seen the Warzone battlefield.
◾Only 18 Nornfang (Linda’s Sniper Rifle) REQs have seen the Warzone battlefield.
◾Just 8 Prophet’s Bane REQs have seen the Warzone battlefield.

I couldn't beat the last section in chapter 15 on legendary last night. Gave up after 20 or so deaths. Will give it another go soon, but this time with no frustration.

And I think that 343 throwing a bone with a rare armor or so wouldn't hurt in the long run.

I'm only talking about cosmetic items.

Didn't realize you were only talking about cosmetics. It never crossed my mind because I don't really care how my Spartan looks :D just give me guns and tanks

It would be nice if 343i would separate armor from weapon unlocks altogether...

Yes! Who would ever spend energy to use a carbine? I love the gun, but it provides no advantage over folks using other loadout weapons.

Yeah I feel like Legendaries are a bit too rare as it stands.

If you used them there is a 100% chance of you immediately getting run over by a teammates Warthog

Pretty much this!

Indeed. I am all about the aesthetics. Fun to customize :)

I try to keep 5 of everything that I like, especially the rarer stuff. Won't use a certain item if I have less than 4 in my inventory.

You sound like me. I always play RPGs in a similar manner, and think about 25 times before using a rare material for crafting or a rare item. Based on past threads, I know many of us on GAF are like that.

First game of the day and my entire team quits in the first minute. I stick it out and my rank goes down from Diamond 5 to 4 in team arena. That is bullshit 343.

I've been killed seconds after spawning with a special or rare weapon. To avoid being frustrated with that, I've made sure I never use anything I don't have plenty more of. Success!

Those stats are the mythic weapons that have SEEN the battlefield.

I'd wager there's a decent chunk sitting in peoples inventories because they are scared to use them :P

One issue im having with warzone is that im seeing alot of people stop using cards once the point lead becomes more than 200.

Most don't see the reasoning in wasting cards in a losing match, and this in turn makes a comeback by either destroying the core or catching up point wise much harder
This combined with the AI enemies being preset are leading to some really one sided matches. Once people know which REQ's are the best against AI, I feel that legendary bosses are gonna be going down alot faster.

Also, that warthog that shoots the super bullets is crazy in the right hands, had a team keep driving it outside their core while we were rushing them and they held us back quite a bit.

Edit: I think it be a solid idea that REQ's that are in use at the end of the a match should be added back to your inventory.

Regular DMR is req 6 btw, I was expecting it to be 7 or 8.

By REQ level 6 people who want to have already called in Sentinel Battle Rifles, which are basically Sniper Rifles. They'll get killed trying to go toe-to-toe with those people.

Haven't really noticed that much, but then again even a 200 or 250 point deficit isn't hard to overcome if you play smart, and as long as you're in a communicative party, especially.

I'm rather stingy with my vehicles in general because I'm incredibly bad at keeping my tanks alive.

For my money the Ultra Ghosts are the best vehicle in the game—they do great damage against bosses and can evade their shots, can effectively suppress enemy positions with their high splash, and are very mobile so you can call one in and get to a threatened base in time to do something about it. Also if you're a dick you can park it inside an armory and wreck people who enter.

If your team is down it's almost impossible. Keep them alive until the last bit starts at least. My 2 cents.

2nd game of the day and half of my team quits in the first minute in a ctf game. Other team clearly aren't gentlemen as they just spawn kill us instead of capturing the last flag for the final 10 minutes. Seriously 343 give us a forfeit/surrender option. Just doesn't make me want to play your game with situations like this.

I'd be fine with this, as well as rejoin a game where connection was dropped. similar to how smite does it.
