Am I the only one who thinks it's weird they took out the Take All option especially now that most junk is actually really useful now. (esp base building)?

How is console performance for everyone? I would go to the digital foundry thread but it's literally filled with ppl who aren't even playing it, or plan to play it on PC.

Ps4 here. I'd been playing some Call of Duty multiplayer right before jumping into it so it took a bit to get used to going back down to ~30fps, but I adjusted. After that it's run fine for the most part. Not perfect, but nothing that I would consider a serious issue. I'm not that far in though.

Just got done with my first session... over seven hours? Jesus.

Shit is crazy good. Playing melee on Survival has proven great fun in the early game.

I was hoping to do a 1 INT playthrough the whole way, but Science! really seems required for a lot of modifications. I'm worried that all of the Super Sledge mods will require it, so eventually I'll have to dump 4 levels just pumping INT and lowering my Idiot Savant proc chance. We'll see I guess, but I kind of feel like if it was going to apply to that much crafting it should have been lower in the INT line like the other modification perks.

How the hell do you attach a wire to a generator? I get the option, then drag a wire to my generator, where it seems to snap into place, and when I hit spacebar again, it disappears.

This is definitely a vanilla Bethesda experience. So far I've been flung 200 meters and lost 90% of my HP after being stuck on a tree, I've seen people sleep on invisible beds, and one area just failed to load properly when I got closer.
Also I love love love the base building but things are way too often levitating above the ground. An option to lower objects would be welcome.

Sorry, but not my ghouls. They didn't make it very far.

hahaha, ok. But in that case it wasn't suicide, it was murder ;)

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic.

Of couse I wasn't being sarcastic. The framerate video will tell you in a objective way how the framerate is in both consoles. You don't need to read the comments from people who don't have the game or from people who want to play on PC and are posting on that thread.

Ya, but in the E3 vid Codsworth was calling the player "Mister Howard". For me it's just... blank.

Are you talking about a specific line where he's supposed to use your name? Because then I dunno why he isn't calling you by name.

All I can tell you is that he calls you sir and mum most of the time.

about to jump in guys!!

screw visuals, are yall loving it?

Honestly the visuals are perfectly good most of the time. The main issue is character models and the pipboy flashlight using some lighting that makes everything look worse.

so I guess we should roll with any new companions we get to eventually trigger their personal quest or whatever its called?

I just want to use the dog :(

Well i am 7 hours in and i must say it is brilliant, no bugs, no slowdown and rock solid 60fps on my pc. Damn those ghouls though, i ended up leaving an underground carpark quickly when loads charged at me, coward that i am. Really enjoying the settlement part a lot, i think this will add to the longevity immensely. Quick nap and i will be heading back to the wasteland for another session.

When you find T45 armor from middle of the field you just know they won't be rare :b

It actually makes sense. We've seen that power armor was incredibly common in Bethesda version of Fallout World War, but in F4 their use is governed by Fusion Cores. They just shut down slowly and turned into useless scarecrows when core production lines shut down in the nuke fest.

I want to get rid of the dog but I haven't found any new companions lol

Someone mentioned you can get the
family's robot
, but I want him even less than the dog. Humanoids, damn it!

I knew that when I got my first set within the first main quest lol. I like the whole fuel mechanic for using them, not sure how rare the cores will be in the long run though. So far I have 2 extra.

I found myself wandering around at night, and found myself just staring at the many stars for a bit, and just contemplated for a bit. While I feel like this was influence by my real-life issues partially, it was a small dumb thing that's stuck with me. So yeah, bravo Bethesda.

Ya,
when you return home for the first time.
Did he call you by your name then?

played for 3 hours yesterday, got as far as opening up the fiirst settlement to buildwith people on it.

No performance issues on XB1 so far, Im playing on hard and it seems to be challenging without it being brutal, I recommend it.

I am a hoarder in pretty much all games, finally it feels like fallout is rewarding me for it. I pick up pretty much everything, and store ll the junk in the workshop in my first settlement. WIll dabble in modding today, I feel like I already gathered alot of weapons and material I can choose one type of gun and mod it to focus my gameplay.

All in all a very promosing start, work sucks

Bolded, reason why I will collect all frames I find and then at the end take screenshot of them all. I want see how ludicrous amount of PA's you can collect.

I (early game spoilers)
put 5 beds down for the people I rescued from the museum. I know you can put defenses down too but if I dont, will those people get killed by attacking enemies?

I'mnot trying to sound defensive, I guess that thread is making a bit reluctant or feral or something. I just figured its been in enough people's hands, i might get more anecdotal impressions cause it seems to vary. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

Boston looks so awesome, and having visited this past summer it's pretty uncanny how accurate.

My only real issues are with building. I wish it was more intricate. I sometimes end up with floating walls and crap like that, I don't understand why you can't turn off snap, and have things look more organic. Maybe mods.

But really once the visual mods, especially textures start rolling in this game will look fantastic in my opinion.

So since I can't touch this game yet until I get out of work anyone mind posting some radio station music tracks and composers? I'm specifically interested in the new ones only and not the ones they recycled (licensed again) from Fallout 3.
