I know people have been bagging on the visuals, but the game is pretty damn good looking on PC in the outdoor areas, especially when you first leave the vault. Indoor areas would look better with more dynamic lights/shadows.

so

can i recharge
fusion reactors for power suits?
how do i dismantle unwanted items? **nvm answered by someone

any good settlement guides available?

Okay, I figured out how to Un-bug the Covenant quest. I think?

When trying to complete the quest I would be aggroed by the entire town when stealing the password to the computer.

I noticed I had an optional objective I could still do, going to visit the destroyed caravan. There is evidence there to suggest they stopped in Covenant.

I also talked more the prominent NPCs about things like Synths and the compound.

I was finally able to steal the password without the town trying to kill me.

I'm not sure what triggers being safe. But it seems basically that trying to steal the password too soon upsets the game.

Oh wait I also changed companions from Dogmeat to Cadsworth. So one of these three criteria perhaps.

Or I just got lucky that time.

Basically the game appears to not want you to skip steps, I think?

How do i remove mods from weapons and scrap them for parts?

how do i scrap random items like dog dishes?

Random items you can store in your workshop(Go to your most used workshop area, IE Sanctuary), hit the 'transfer' instead of 'craft' button, and there should be a 'Store all Junk items'. It's usable in all the workshops in that area(Ie sanctuary). They'll scrap automatically when you make things.

As for mods, you can scrap a weapon and the mods will be saved in a tab in your pipboy, I believe it's a 'mod' tab.

I've run into an issue where if an NPC is needed for 2 quests it'll do the first but then never want to talk to me about the second. This is awkward.

Just finished searching Sanctury and will head over to Concord later tonight...

One thing - is it possible to target enemies before switching to VAT?
Those damn RADbugs keep attacking me.

First Fallout Game for the win :)

Base building is right up my alley I feel like I'm going to spend a lot of time doingit and making sure everything is perfect. The game really has it's hooks in me. It's certainly not the prettiest and I've ran into my fair share of frame dips on ps4 but it hasn't effected my enjoyment of the game so far.

Some pretty early story quest spoilers, just need some direction here

i currently have the quest to go to diamond city for the first time or the quest to kill all of the raiders at the power plant, they are both very far out there and the raiders at the power plant are just destroying me along with all the feral ghouls, whihc path is better at this point? im currently level 6

Hey can anyone tell me if FO4 Heavy and Melee/Unarmed weapons can be modded extensively? My main concern about going melee/heavy weapons is it seems like the modding system's pretty clearly biased towards small arms

Damn, how do you keep managing to transport all them lol

I can never pick power armor up without getting encumbered
I keep my inventory open or make multiple trips.

Just added another to my collection

Quick question for defending your town, are there any actual destructible buildings? Like can they burn down a house while attacking or is it just protecting my people?

I Was messing around with it a little earlier and starting building a floor on the roof of an existing building and extending it outwards..then realized if I deleted the floor connecting it to the roof, the rest stays there, floating in mid-air. I can then build stairs going up from this floating platform.

I want to build a floating Ewok village..

Strange. In third person, my character's left arm is glued to his chest

Do you have a broken arm? Maybe he has an invisible sling.

Ok heading to bed, I put In a good 7-8 hours tonight and I am completely blown away. The game is incredible Fallout is back!! Nothing fees like Fallout!

Thank you Bethesda!

It seems like a lot of the starting missions make it nessessary for you to use the power armor. Theres so many enemies around that you'd just get mauled without it.

Kind of a silly question: How does Bethesda manage to stay afloat financially if they only release one game in 4-5 years?

" In June 2013, Bethesda announced that over 20 million copies of the game had been sold."

That's how. The same way Rockstar stays afloat only making one game every 4-5 years.

I'm playing on PC with my PS4 controller. Is there a way to display the PS4 button prompts instead of Xbox One prompts? :/

They don't. They might release these bigger RPGs in that timeframe but they release things like Evil Within and Dishonored too.

That's Bethesda the publisher, pretty sure he's asking about Bethesda the developer. Why their publisher keeps them open if they only make two games a decade.

You know how you can rotate items you are placing when building settlements?

Can you move them farther away?, they feel so in my face.

So, I kind of went in haphazardly and allocated only 2 points to my luck tree..now that I'm going through it properly, i realise there are some incredible skills there and would like to focus on it more..is there any way to reallocate skill points (I'm already out of the vault), and if not, do you think giving up 8 points on skills instead of perks is too much?

Managed to buy a legendary (it has a star on it at least) piece of gear which boosted my defense by a decent amount. Now I can actually kill a wave of enemies without getting wrecked.

Hey can anyone tell me if FO4 Heavy and Melee/Unarmed weapons can be modded extensively? My main concern about going melee/heavy weapons is it seems like the modding system's pretty clearly biased towards small arms

I'm running a full melee/stealth build and rest easy, plenty of modding options on weapons, I'm using a security baton that stuns motherfuckers to the floor right now, just bzzzt, down. Melee builds are rewarding on very hard.

So either I'm terrible or I'm under leveled.

Raiders at the
power plant
are kicking my ass. I'm level 5. This is one of two quests available to me. I have shit weapons.

Question.

If I lose my power armor is there a way to track it down?

Likewise for companions (like the dog)

The ease of searching/looting containers/desks/bodies is much appreciated. Such a time saver, simply scanning over them visually. Only now I often bring up my Pipboy trying to close the window like old times.
