How do you get more than one power armor to sit in one location anyway? They have to have multiple power armor hangers? I had the first one you find, then ran into another near a robot disposal facility, but now i've only got the one that I found recently.

I scrapped 1200 junk items by dropping them and going into workshop mode. There has to be a better way, this is ridiculous.

Where's the entrance to that? Couldn't find it yesterday :/

Say you are coming from Sanctuary and now looking at the garage door of that building. Go north east of it, you will see like a little path going down and around and you'll come across a cave on your left. It's really close to the place so if you are wondering off way to far you've missed it.

Does joining up with the Brotherhood of Steel lock you out of opportunities with other factions? I didn't imagine so, but I couldn't tell if the way Danse phrased it as being a big commitment was his character or the game telling me that it was a 'choice' to make.

Dunno but reposting for sake of discussion/cool stuff you find in a beth game at the risk of it being a BoS spoiler, I'm at the very start of joining them so I know as much as anyone else

Kill Danse's squad, check their bodies

Go to your workbench and click transfer. Then there should be an option to transfer junk. Once it's transferred you no longer have the weight. Items will be scrapped automatically when you need stuff from them.

It's actually well done.

Thank you. Much appreciated!

Lol, the first legendary drop that I will be using. This literally just doubled my damage with my sniper rifle. Tho, I mainly use my 120dmg OP shotgun, I snipe in the over-world quite often due to hidden damage. It doesn't even consume extra ammo or anything, it's just double damage (same non-legendary rifle did 73 damage).

Now I need that modifier for my shotgun. lol

Is a Sniper build really viable? I mean it seems like there are lots of battles to be had inside buildings where corridors and rooms are quite cramped: wouldn't that make a sniper build pretty much defenseless?

I guess that is why you also use a shotgun, huh? To balance that weakness.

Oh man, the lanterns are driving me crazy in Workshop mode. They can't be moved or made. When one is on top of a patio table and you move the patio table, the lantern disappears.

Unless you unlock that or something.

So i came along a raider who seemed to be kneeling almost in though or prayer. Wasting no time I pulled out my sniper rifle and took his head off. Clean. As I go to collect his things I notice I entered into a grave yard. I walk in closer still and it seems the poor chap was greaving over a friend who was placed in a burial hole. Who would have thought Bethesda would add depth to a no name character whose only purpose is to or be murdered. For the first time ever in a fallout game I actually considered a Raider to be almost human. Amazing.

But...
In typical Fallout form I also put a bullet in the girl laying in the burial hole. I've been down this road before and at some point, this will be a set up for an ambush.

About 3 hours ago I found a real sniper rifle. Not a pipe-made supped up revolver gimped one...but a real sniper rifle.

And it's glorious. Every perk I do now is trying to get me skeakier or a better shot and more damage. It's a great way to play when searching the wasteland.

So I encountered my first big bug , fairly early into the game near the robotics disposal center.

It seems if you save and/or load a game when you're near this place it can "break" you being able to get the robot, I did a quick save before I activated it and it simply would not work if I loaded that quicksave, it kept saying it couldn't establish a connection.

I loaded an earlier save not near the area and then went there and activated it just fine.

Then I encountered yet ANOTHER bug with the robot, when I issued it a "defend" command it simply would not move at all.

I found out if you bring up the console, click on the robot and then type disable, then type enable, it "reloads" the robot and then it will move to where it's meant to go.

Now my question is, will using the console to fix this mess up the steam achievements?

I'm playing on PC with my PS4 controller. Is there a way to display the PS4 button prompts instead of Xbox One prompts? :/

I'm wondering the same thing. It's strange to see a big game like this not support it when so many smaller new games do.

I mean I can have it emulate a 360 controller just fine, but when you don't do that, the button prompts are completely messed up. It tells me to hit X (square) to talk to people, it told me to hit down on the dpad to reload, ect. It just has no idea what prompts to put up on screen if you aren't emulating a 360 controller.

Is there really no way to share materials between settlements? Trying to defense up other settlements is becoming a pain in the ass with all the fast travelling. Also, I stored away some turrets, how do I place them out again? Selecting a turret in the workshop menu just builds a new one.

On a side note, sounds like when you break down junk to make something at the table you only use the part from that object that you needed. The other stuff is gone. You need to drop and scrap to save it all. I expect a patch for this.

AHHHHH this game is so awesome. My goty so far.

Anyways two quick questions: Love the settlement system, but how do I do lights? I attached one to my powered radio beacon but its not powering on and I don't have an option to connect a wire like the radio beacon had. Do I have to build a switch?

Second, when I find weapons with mods I like, such as a pipe pistols with comfort grip but... I already have a better one I just want the grip is there a way to scrap for just the mod, or is that a perk later on maybe?

Thanks for answering in advance, at work just wanted to know for when I get home. Such a cool game!

Books/magazines safe to sell once you've acquired them and got the perks they give?

I asked about this earlier and was told that the stuff not used was left at the work bench for future use.

Am I not far enough or are these just not able to be made, moved or scrapped at all?

I'm having this problem too... not sure what/where he's finding... or does he find it and loot it himself perhaps....(must investigate!).
Whenever he finds something for me it's usually a container I can loot. He tends to run in a specific way to something and then I just look in that immediate area and usually find something.

Played for around three hours tonight and so far so good. Runs great on my PC with everything set to ultra, getting a stable 60 fps at 1080, I do get dips once in awhile but nothing too serious. The game is gorgeous for an open world game. Story and gameplay wise I haven't got that far, but it's been great so far, no complaints. Still early on, but I'm very pleased so far.
