Nintendo Direct coming November 12 [Over]

What would you cut then?

I could easily see them dialing back on the first party announcements and 3DS localization news but outside of that, a lot of my guesses/expectations seem to line up with recent rumors (Minecraft, lack of content in amiibo Festival/Ultra Smash, Smash DLC/Poll Winners, Splatoon and Mario Maker DLC/Updates likely, rumored HD ports, ect).

Your list is like a years worth of directs... Minecraft is the least interesting thing on it but seems like the most likely to happen. I was hoping TP would be a "available right now on the eshop", but no chance after this Minecraft leak.

That is a good point XD! I could see that being stretched across two more directs:
-Third party localization announcements for 3DS: February Direct
-Third party Wii U Support + HD Remasters for Wii U/3DS/New 3DS: April Direct
-Highlighting Direct - Focus on Wii U Line Up plus a teaser for the NX: May Direct

Thank God that Minecraft was leaked. I would have been disappointed if that was their big reveal. I couldn't care less about that franchise. Now I have lowered expectations. Hopefully TP HD turns out to be real and we will get some Zelda updates, unless they are saving them for the VGA.

Data miners found a logo and title in the eShop database, and Nintendo has released updated promotional art for that game's Link. Unless this is an epic troll, it's all but confirmed.

I just dont think that constitutes an hd re release, I mean yeah thats great if it does but people should hold those expectations. Lol

Yeah. I already have it for PC so it will be an underwhelming announcement for me.

I was disappointed to see anything leaked, but now that you put it this way, I agree. I'd definitely rather know going in that this is a part of the Direct and potentially even the last big surprise of it, so I can temper my expectations a bit in that regard. Good point, thank you.

I honestly thought that minecraft was already on the Wii U -_- Wondering if Nintendo have anything surprising to bring to the table or if they will let the Wii U fade away slowly. I was a bit optimistic in hoping for something decent from their partnership with DeNA but I guess it's just going to be free-to-play garbage with a coat of Nintendo paint on it.

Realistically if this Direct is a sh*t show how many more directs are we likely to see before the much rumoured NX reveal at E3?

They've got to reveal NX before E3. Preferably in a February/March Direct.

Damn PEGI spoiling the surprise for everyone. Seriously, how many people actually tried to predict this one?

Also, a quick reminder Microsoft was never opposed to bringing their games to Nintendo hardware: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_games_owned_by_Microsoft_Studios_on_Nintendo_platforms. Hovewer, this will be the first case of Microsoft games coming to Nintendo home console (not handheld), as well as the first case of Microsoft publishing them without the help of THQ or somebody else.

But how many would consider it a good surprise for a Direct? Minecraft is on pretty much everything at this point and even a toaster of a PC could probably run it. I'm glad it was leaked so I can temper my expectations.

Nah, it does because the title on the eshop listing is "Twilight Princess HD".

The name of the entry is literally "Twilight Princess HD"

Did you miss the part where there was a TP icon linked to a title ID on a Nintendo server with the text "TWILIGHT PRINCESS HD" ?

Lmao yes I did miss that logo. Does someone have a pic or a screan cap of it? Anyway, if it does release I might actually finish it. Only zelda game I havent finished.

Stuff I read is that DeNA will have some F2P, in-house Nintendo mobile games will more often be the normal pay model we're accustomed to. The Miitomo thing is a passive app for a different part of the market and games coming after will be the stuff people are looking forward to the most.

It's about what I was expecting.

DeNA is also helping Nintendo with other things as well.

Well TP could have been avoided had they not had an icon and listings for it in the code for (most likely) months before the game comes out.

But it wasent on there for months, it being in the eshop listings meant that it was releasing incredibly soon.

Well, it's completely random but still something we actually want; therefore, it's a typical Nintendo Direct surprise.

What has the DeNa partnership have to do with WiiU? Why is Miitomo just a Nintendo paint? Did you seriously expect something else than F2P? Does that somehow minimize/maximize your pleasure with it?

And why are you automatically going for shitshow? Seriously, what is going on in your post?

Well, even with TPHD and Minecraft Wii U Edition alone, it would be better than a lot of other directs. At least better than the digital event of June.

It would be totally fine. I expected pratically nothing for Wii U apart from the titles they already announced before. The big stuff is clearly coming on NX, but those two games would really make me happy.

Jesus, I love Twilight Princess too much.

haha,
but honestly, people are already getting predisappointed in thread lol. Tomorrows gonna be bad.

Yes, specially when they themselves state what the Direct will be about, people shouldn't expect "big" surprises just because. I mean, it could happen, but it's very very very unlikely.

Also Minecraft amiibo you say? As in a Steve amiibo and/or Minecraft-like Nintendo characters? Either way, the only possible outcome of such:

Oh, Minecraft, my ancient foe. We meet again. Maybe I’ll finally understand what is so goddamn great about you this time. But I doubt it.

There's something also neat about that page.

I'm the one who created the page (see View History). ;)
