Nintendo Direct coming November 12 [Over]

Sat down last night. Set up twin browser windows so I could view the Direct and comment at the same time on Facebook. Chattedly excitedly to the other people in the Twitch chat.

Then I looked at the date. :(

That's the dumbest reason for not continuing to add new Pokemon. You might as well just stop the franchise because they're still gonna add new Pokemon AT LEAST every Gen. Seriously people who are like "there are already over 700 Pokemon" need to just stop playing if they dislike the franchise having so many Pokemon that much.
 
I think Nintendo is gonna show everything that they got for the Wii U.... why would they wait? This is literally the last Xmash Wii U is gonna see if they are really launching the NX next Xmash, so its gonna be the last big sales that they are gonna have.

Which is the point of waiting to announce the rest of Wii U stuff then? So if there is a real Pikmin 4, Twilight Princess HD, or anything else, it will be shown now.

The next Big thing is the E3 where they will show and focus in NX, so nothing for Wii U probably. The only thing, the new Zelda, which they should probably show something now, to get the people to buy the Wii U.... if they bring it to the NX as well, then they will say on the E3. If they say nothing of the new Zelda now... I would say that its been cancelled and pass it only to NX (mmm unless they dont want to eclipse Zelda TP HD... but I really doubt it... I dont remember, but didnt they announce WW HD and also spoke about the Zelda Wii U with a trailer on one same direct?
 
If Pokémon Z, or another game is coming, it will be a Generation VI game. As it's a Generation VI game, there will be no new Pokémon. New forms and Mega Evolutions? Absolutely. New Pokémon? No, not going to happen.

I just want them to take advantage of the n3DS' better CPU.

Modders forced ORAS/ XY to use it and the results were significantly more stable fps. No reason why the official developers behind the 10 million+ per entry series couldn't make it happen.

Crystal being GBC only wasn't that much of a jump. Even though they were compatible with past GameBoys, Gold & Silver were quite clearly GameBoy Color games.

The next game will probably be N3DS enhanced, yes, but exclusive? Absolutely not.
 
After such a long wait they need to announce something that hits headlines.
Not just a TP HD Version or the Minecraft WiiU thingie, Im gonna need something that was worth waiting for all this time tbh.
 
It would be nice if Z was n3DS enhanced, yeah. You can force X/Y to run in n3DS mode with homebrew, and all the framerate problems just vanish.

Well sometimes selling a fraction more hardware could be more important than selling more software if it'll help in the long run. I know Crystal didn't have huge improvements but there were so many Game Boy owners back then.. people still played on their BW game boys. Surely the ratio that upgraded back then was far less. Or at least the ratio that could upgrade (parents buying consoles for Christmas as opposed to people buying it themselves now)

Also it feels like a good opportunity to make the n3DS more viable.

N3DS is a stopgap. NX is soon. It'd be more damaging than beneficial

Black & White could have easily been DSi exclusive, but weren't. They don't want to lock out players.

As long as it doesn't hold the game back from its true potential then that's fine. I couldn't get into XY.

Infact it's quite funny that you could argue E3 was one of their worst received presentations (if you compare it to directs). Especially when you take into account the expectations.

Perhaps, but to hold one bad showing as the baseline compared to lots of other Directs that delivered, it's a bit silly.
 
The performance issues in X/Y are a non issue because it's a turn-based RPG. If it was another genre the game still wouldn't be unplayable but they'd be totally noticeable and detrimental to the game.

I played in 2D btw, and they're not as much of a problem there either.

What about the Zygarde cores? I doubt it will just be different form of Zygarde you can change with a key item or whatnot.

Besides, what's exactly crazy about adding new Pokémon mid generation? Compatibility issues? GF clearly don't give a crap about that. They've been introducing incompatible formes, moved, and now Mega Pokémon in newer games since Platinum.

I...I think you're right. Anything that isn't shown tonight or at the Game Awards will not release on Wii U. Spring/Summer 2016 is the end for Wii U unless...NX is a portable console only.
