Nintendo Direct coming November 12 [Over]

I imagine this will cover pretty much everything left in the Nintendo development tank for the WiiU and 3DS. So expect updates on Xenoblade X, M. Tennis, Amiibo Festival, Devil's Third, Star Fox Zero, FE#, Federation Force, FE Fates, Hyrule Warriors Legends, Badge Arcade, and Paper Jam. If TP HD actually exists, it will be announced here, along with a reconfirmation that open-world Zelda will still release on WiiU (most likely Q4 2016). Zelda's 30th anniversary will be celebrated in many more ways as well. Miitomo and the new MyNintendo account system will be covered, along with a reconfirmation that Nintendo is working on NX for dedicated gamers and will share more information "early" next year.

Don't expect any NX details past that. This direct is solely to tie up any loose ends left from the WiiU and 3DS before moving froward.
Of course, thats what they said.

So, 5pm Eastern time?

If they took out the story bits, the pixel hunting and made 3D movement work with the circle pad, it certainly wouldn't be a bad game. Maybe still just a bit too linear. (Fusion had the same problem, but wasn't bad by any means.)

I'd love this. But I feel people give the d-pad controls too little credit. The level design is very angular and you move with precision the way the game made it! The auto-aim makes it not as limited as it sounds. I thought it was a unique way to do a 3D game.

Also, Mario 3D Land/World limits you to 8 dirs most of the time (but maybe you just meant for comfort, instead of the finger-cutting Wii d-pad... )

The only things that can make this interesting is Zelda footage or NX homeconsole talk.
It's probably about old games though.

It's confirmed to have no NX talk. Also, I think that makes Zelda footage unlikely, though as others have speculated we could see a title and/or concept art.

So this is at 5pm EDT?
(6pm ADT for me)

Edit: And if that entire rumor list turns out to be true... how big would the reaction be?

Can't be wholly true. I'd take it with a big grain of salt. They say Miitomo but no NX or mobile stuff will be at this Direct.

I have a feeling this is just going to be E3 Direct Part 2. They're gonna show us Star Fox, Xenoblade, FExSMT, FE Fates, etc. you know, everything we already saw.

Probably see Minecraft U and Zelda HD.

Ice Climbers, come back to meeee...

Someone either in this thread or the Smash thread, posted an interesting idea where Ice Climber is added as a single character, but in team mode, two Ice Climbers can pair up and use their specials as a team, as they used to.

That would actually probably work out for the most part.

No thank you. Old Ice Climbers or no Ice Climbers please.

Zero interest in a sopo. I'd much rather Ice climbers be an exclusive to the NX port.

Yup. A single ice climber is the most boring character idea i've ever heard of. The only interesting thing about them was the fact that they were a pair.

My expectations are zero aside from Smash news. And that's all I'm really hype about.

Zelda will be cool, but that shit isn't coming out until NX releases, and the Wii U is already dead, so I don't care about most of these half assed quick games they're shitting onto it's carcass. I hope Star Fox is good but I'm not expecting much. Hopefully Pikmin 4 has an ounce of innovation in it.

They could also work splendidly in a Tekken Tag-like Smash Tag mode. Although a new mode like that may be too big an update for the game, since it would essentially create an entirely new type of metagame.
Just the type of thing the NX version of Smash 4 should get. :p

I honestly don't know why I'm so hyped for this, but I am. I guess it's cuz there hasn't been a peep since E3, and it's been even longer since the last real batch of announcements.

I also have no idea how we're already on page 80, before the show even happens.

Lol, this argument gets me every time.
In the Super Metroid Player's Guide, published by Nintendo of America Inc. in 1994, the height of Samus Aran is said to be 6'3" (1.9 m). If she had the same height in Metroid for NES, the height of Ridley would be 7,84226568 feet (2.3903225806451612903225806451613 m). That's not too big for Smash I think, the NES Ridley could be used.

Note: 1.9 m I calculated as height with suit on.
