X/Y kinda feels like cheating, since it's not like it came as a surprise in a regular direct. It came in its own direct advertised beforehand as being the next big Pokemon news. Everyone knew what it was going to be.

Smash team usually makes every character they add fun to play or interesting to watch or both, so I'm sure people would like him if they put him in, even the naysayers

I actually really don't want Shovel Knight playable in Smash. At least not yet.

So far, the third party characters we've had in Smash are: Megaman, Sonic, Solid Snake and Pac Man. 4 fucking icons of the vidya.

Shovel Knight has appeared in one game. It was released just over a year ago! definitely not a pedigree deserving of a third party spot in Smash Bros. I understand that he has potential for a good moveset but I'm really not feeling it. Make him an assist trophy.

Simon Belmont deserves that spot, not Shovel Knight.

A good amount of people believed it was going to be a Ruby/Sapphire remake right up to the very end because "patterns".

Some of us new the next generation was coming when Meleotta and Genesect were released so close to each other that a Direct announcement had to be something significant such as a 3DS game.

Same thing I do during Halo/Naughty Dog/Call of Duty/Bethesda/SquareEnix/Etc streams. Anything else and be oblivious that it's even happening. Then read the posts on the front page much later and click the ones I find interesting.

Totally agree. I feel the same way about Shantae. I'm not even sure if I'd like Simon Belmont tbh, he's probably the next best character but I don't see him as an icon on-par with the others.

i stopped playing Splatoon. after you unlock the level 10 mode the high level players kill me easily and even on the normal battles they become more powerful (?) it bored me, maybe this new stage and holiday will bring new players. im not sure it explains the rules of some games i was used to some ocuppy an area then after alot of games you have this golden gun to grab.
