I was worried about them changing too much for Twilight Princess HD, but it looks almost untouched, in a bad way. That they highlighted the Amiibo over anything else, has me worried. I don't want them to radically change the look as they did with Wind Waker HD, but Twilight Princess does need some love.

Access times on the flash memory are much better than accessing the disk.

As is accessing an external HDD over even USB 2.0.

You can see why PS4 and Xbox One just use the disc as an install and check now, discs are great, but it's best to just use it as a check afterwards.

This Nintendo Direct was absolutely epic for JRPG fans.

After a very mediocre 2015 for me, 3DS is really stepping up for 2016. Bravely Second, Fire Emblem and both DQs are all locks. If SMTIV and AA6 also get released, that might be its best year for me. It's a shame they couldn't release some of these RPGs this year though.

I'm really curious to see how FE is priced in Europe. I hope that complete edition doesn't go anywhere north of 80€.

I was extremely happy with this direct as a 3DS owner, and that was just the beginning of the year. I wish DQ VII was a little earlier, but I'm so glad we're getting it.
