Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

Yup, once spawned a wraith and it was right where there were like 3 of the enemy somehow came, gone in a second.

I think another issue of the REQ's is that some of the good stuff only comes at level 8 or above. And very rarely does the game ever get to that point. I don't think a single match of mine has gotten to above level 9 REQ's.

I hijacked a newly spawned oni tank earlier today and am not ashamed of it :P

Honestly I love being that guy who destroys vehicles when they spawn. I'm always on foot as I don't like getting in vehicles, but oh boy do I love taking them out, David vs. Goliath. It's just funnier when I made to waste another player's REQ energy.

Halo 3 taught me to appreciate the thrill of the hunt.

Now, along with the trophy of a burnt out husk, I am rewarded with the fact that I know that sometimes that trophy represents a very rare REQ and the smoke of the wreckage tastes like the salt from it's angry owner's bitter tears.

I'm no longer surprised by what goes on around here anymore. The campaign was my second favorite. But I imagine that a four player legendary play through will elevate it to no1

just had 4 straight wins in arena, slayer, going solo.. feels weird. but feels bad too..3 of the 4 games ended 50-30 with at least 2 people quitting on their team :(

I can't play this game for shit. I'm trying too. Well, in limited amounts of time. These are my observations.

1) If you play this game with bumper jumper, jumping around alot gets you killed. Its a hard habit to break.
2) CoD kids are crouch killing and it sucks because it works. Whatever aiming changes were made fit crouching.
3) The AR isn't OP it's just got too much range. I was on Truth getting taken down from top mid by an AR. Watching theater of me getting killed I notice a lot of people don't even switch from the AR
4) The shoulder charge sucks. I played against people just sprinting around the map and charging. I hate that shit.
5) The hover should be on jump. Yeah I know its clamber but it could just be when you hold it. Clamber hit twice, hold to hover.

Its weird, most of the people who get kills on me are hardly moving.

You need to give yourself more time. If you are playing against people who don't switch from the AR, then you are at a low level of competition... It becomes more and more a secondary weapon as you move up. I'm just a platinum now, and I rarely see it used, because the pistol kills faster and has better range.

Spartan charges become less prevalent, and you'll get better at dodging them. Also, if you melee someone right as they charge you, you'll have the advantage for landing kill shot.

I agree stabilizer being on zoom is weird, but once you figure it out, you'll pull off some crazy jumps.

I suggest playing a bunch of Warzone first. Get acclimated to the controls, then come back to arena.

In 1 match on Spire I hijacked a Wraith, Mantis and Sword Wraith back to back in the open. Only the last Wraith was aware of me, but it was already too late. Guess I ruined their days.

I also find it pretty amazing that you can completely destroy Banshee's and Ghost's so easily with a BR. My standard Warzone match is me spawning with a BR on level 3 and then me spawning with an other BR on level 5 and it's just amazing. Going out with a huge amount of points and kills almost every time.

I don't know how to rank Halo campaigns. To me Halo 2 had the best story, but I didn't like the encounters. Halo 3 had awesome encounters and pretty good story. Halo CE had terribly repetitive encounters but compensated with solid gameplay. ODST was different, noire, and felt great, but obviously lacking compared to the scale of the original trilogy. Reach had great feeling to it too, but also lacked the grandeur of the original trilogy.

Halo 4 I wasn't a fan of. Halo 5's introduction of squads was welcomed, encounters and gunplay are top notch, though the warden fights...

I guess the concept of quantifying what is fundamentally qualitative opinion seems arbitrary to me.

late, but H5G's campaign is probably my favorite behind ODST / Reach / CE. Certainly beats out 2, 3, and 4.
I'd rank it right in the middle too, although my list would be more like this:

Halo CE > Halo 3 > ODST > Halo 5 > Reach > Halo 2 > Halo 4

Overall I'm pretty happy with the Campaign. The jump in quality from Halo 4 to Halo 5 is quite noticeable, if Halo 6 shows the same level of improvement it could be amazing.

"343i Made a Bad Halo game (campaign)"

Time for me to take a little break from gaming side. That thread title wouldn't stand for so many other franchises.

All it needs is an "IMO" or something, at least to keep the drivebys out. but no. Truthfact.
I hear you stinkles. Every time I see a thread like that I get tempted to make the opposite - in this case "343i made a great halo game". But I'm an FTE too so, ya know astoturfing/corporate shill accusations. Life's too short.

Ok. So I'm 40 - aka too old and slow for this shit. But damnit, warzone absolutely sings for me. I love it. Can't remember the last time I stayed up until 130am gaming (ok I lie - it was WoW years ago) but I just couldn't put the controller down. I'm still not great, my kd is always pretty poo, but I have so much fun. Still win plenty of zones, occasionally manage to finish in the top few (such as last night when I jacked someone's ghost then used it to take out a boss).

Thrusters and clamber have given movement a new lease of life, but the trinity of grenade/2 weapons keeps it so halo feeling.

Loving it.

I won't shy away from it, the game has a lot of issues and I don't feel halo will be the game that a lot of fans left at back around reach's issues. A lot of fans won't even express their dislike for the current games so at least we have that.

Of course, it is just a game in the end and there isn't anything to get upset over. We all have games that we like or dislike or things we wish could be better. That's just how it goes.

Games and other things are nothing compared to life, people and how we should treat each other. So, don't let game and worldly things mix and get you or anyone down. The news of people dying is always depressing and I have anxiety issues. Sometimes those things can really affect me and tear me up.

All in all, Halo is a game and it isn't something that we have to take too seriously (even if I say my fair share off what I like or dislike) it's all always just personal opinions but i will always try to listen and respect people.

If you don't own the Fortress/Garage.

So once you own the garage, you have no choice but to spawn in the middle of the Warzone...

I guess you can always, respawn at home base, then use a req station there... Won't that make your vehicle spawn at home?

This is definately an oversight. But really, it shouldn't be that difficult to have someone clear the garage door before you bring your rare vehicle out.

I'm two wins away from diamond in slayer. Anyone on now wanna help me get there?? It doesn't matter where you are from.. The game gives no fucks so why should I??

Just got a copy of COD BL3 and thinking about returning it as a gift. I have halo 5 but anyone put real time into both and have opinions? I know I am asking in the halo thread but the 2 games seem similar and I am leaning toward trading blops3 for tomb raider since halo comes out less often than blops and won't be obsolete as fast.

One of the most rewarding things to do in Warzone is to wreck someone who just brought out a vehicle or some rare item. There's a strategy to spawning such things- for example, bringing out a tank at the Garage or the Fortress being a recipe for griefing.

It's risk/reward and it's handled really well.

Just had a weird Warzone Assault where we capped the Armory before the Spire. Not sure if a bug or just a weird choice you have.

Aren't you supposed to capture your Armory before the Spire though since the two hunters are there and it takes longer? Or am I missing something? Usually some stay behind to capture your Armory first while the rest rush the Spire.

Edit: Sorry just saw that you said Assault, not normal Warzone. My bad

In normal Warzone sure, but in Warzone Assault I thought it was a linear progression.

It's a bug that people are exploiting... They typically do it when the time will expire and they can't cap the spire. They then pull of the glitch, get an extra 6minutes and force the defenders to spawn at home base; making the spire a softer target.

Any chance 343i is going to make a brand new IP with Halo mechanics like Bungie did with Destiny? 343i is immensely talented and I would really like to see what they can do with a little bit of freedom.

Absolutely no chance imo. They will be thinking about Halo 6 already.

I'd say it's possible... But that won't be something they'd tackle for a long time. They have a long game planned for Halo's reclaimer saga arc and I wouldn't think we'd see anything other than Halo until at least that arc is complete.

I have both. BLOPS is a good COD and has a ton of content. I only play it for the multiplayer and its still all about short ttk, map knowledge, and kill streaks. The game plays great, don't get much lag, and some of the weapons are fun to use. It plays like a cross between titanfall with its wall running and high jumps and COD. They have also added specialist that you have to be and they each get a unique ability. I absolutely hate them. I'd much rather be able to make my own guy and customize him.

Having said that I always find myself coming back to halo. It doesn't have as much content but I'm enjoying the slower pace more and enjoy getting into gun fights instead of dying in 2 secs(unless I play swat but that's skill shots with headshots). Also halo has war zone which I have a love hate relationship with and soon btb.
