People give Bethesda waaaaay too much shit for writing. Some of the characters in this game are golden. N
ick Valentine
in particular. Best Fallout companion ever.
Completely agree. The letters, terminals, holotapes, EVERYTHING has been top notch so far.

The little prop setups, like finding a skeleton with clothes , a bottle of vodka hunkered down somewhere with a shitty floor mat to sleep on. Makes you wonder what his story was. Game is filled with tons of little things like this.

Weapon/armor modification is such a goddamn mess, I can't believe they thought this was the best way of doing it.

Why can't I just remove a mod from one weapon, and put it on another of the same type? The whole concept is so needlessly confusing and counter-intuitive.

I need to look up a Wiki or something, this is giving me headaches.

Do settlements share the scrap you have gathered if you have the local leader perk

This Settler assignation function serves an extra, perhaps even more useful purpose – you can use them to essentially network crafting stations, so anything you’ve stored in them becomes accessible from any of your settlements. No more repeatedly hoofing it between Sanctuary Hills to Red Rocket because you haven’t got quite enough fuses in one place, in other words. You’ll need to have unlocked the Local Leader perk for this, which itself requires a Charisma of 6. With that done, repeat the build mode / find spare settler process above, but press Q to activate a Supply Line rather than E to Command – you’ll then be presented with a list of settlements. Choose one to form a link between it and your current location. Note that this will essentially remove the settler from the current place’s population, however, as well as dragging them off any other task they might have been associated with. It’s also worth nothing that you can also assign some companions to Supply Lines, if you’re short on spare settlers.

You can. If you replace it with another mod its put in your inventory. It may look.like it needs material for the new gun, but it should show a number below the requirements which tells you that you already have one.

Downgrade the weapon part you want the mod from to "stock".
You'll get the mod in your inventory.

Hahaha, those Protectrons, I just love them. You can actually set their personality. One time I set it as Law Enforcement and when I tried talking to him he said "move along citizen" and when I set him as medical worker he said "please remain calm if you're injured". I just love attention to detail.

I love the Medical Protrectrons as they walk around the site of a massacre. "Your vitals signs are troubling. Please seek immediate medical attention."

Argh, I just came to what I assume is fallout 4's twist.

This is so stupid, it makes no sense! >_<

So I just cleared out
West Everett Estates
of Super Mutants..Is there a workbench here so I can start building/scrapping? It really looks like the sort of area where I can, but spent 20mins searching for a Workbench with no luck.

About Amari bit.

Did the memory sequence and suddenly they're talking about some scientist called Virgil who defected. Did I miss something? Who is this guy?

Hmm...I thought after finishing the
Confidence Man
quest, Travis would actually start
DJ'ing with a bit more...confidence

Ah well :/

I guess my expectations were quite low but I've been pleasantly surprised by the game. The main hook for me has been the combat (which is much better than before) and the weapon modding (despite its odd nature). I think the game visually looks good as well.

However all the quests I've done so far have been an absolute bore. There doesn't seem to be any deep level interaction with the world outside of combat and crafting. I kept doing the Preston (Sturges reference...) quests hoping to run into a sizeable settlement with shops, bars, NPCs with other quests, anything really but most of these settlements consist of 2 people asking you to clear out an area. I guess the idea is you build your own town.

Where should I go for interesting quests/towns? Just got to Diamond City but I hope there's other smaller camps/towns as well.

I have to admit even though the dialogue system, movement, lack of skills, performance and visuals are abysmal, I'm still managing to have quite a bit of fun with this.

Trashcan Carla's stupid Brahmin has somehow got itself stuck in one of the houses in Sanctuary, leaving some NPCs unobtainable.

At least Mama Murphy is in her chair...

I started meleeing the Brahmin to try and move it out of the way, obviously it got pissed off but the residents started helping me by shooting it. Only one that didn't like me meleeing the Brahmin was this guy here...

I had to reload the save and I still don't know how to move the Brahmin. Any tips?

Can any event answer the following?

What is the downside to scrapping all the little settlements I come across, and just just building what I want in one place using those materials?

Also, can you command settlers to transfer to other settlements?

They made too many settlements. I feel guilted into helping all theses places. If there were just three or four it wouldn't be so bad.. But jeez. There's way too many to micromanage.

In the final memory in the sequence,

You learn that Virgil defected and that Kellogg is supposed to go kill him, and that's when he left Shaun with an institute agent.

Find Goodneighbour. It's not far from Diamond City actually.

Probably been shown before but THIS is the saddest thing I've seen in the game. I have not touched or manipulated anything. This is how I found them.

In two levels I'll be able to make ultra light weight armor that weighs about the same as my current outfit. All together. That's gonna be insane. All the extra armor gonna be mine son.

Just fought a legendary raider using this...

Some of these modifiers are ridiculously powerful when they match up with an automatic weapon. Rads went totally nuts each time I got hit, leaving me looking like this after the fight. I even had full HP/no rads before this.

Never actually knew it changed the pipboy to look like a zombie before this, lol.

Yeah, I found an explosive machine gun with a fire rate of 127. Death to all.

Guys i think the physics in this game are are perhaps a bit glitchy, i'm glad that happened because i'm would have been dead otherwise

Oh and is shit like this that is pissing me off and makes me want to put the game on normal, hard is too hard right now, i think somehow i fucked myself and made the game too hard.
