How many people have rerolled after investing many hours?
Cait is more than you can handle

I've been enjoying this alot. Are people just saying its badly written because they love Obsidian without a grain of critical thinking? Because this game, imo, is mostly really well written. I've become attached to many characters. I do agree with people saying that having more dialogue options and have them written in a full sentence would be something I'd like.
So if I scrap a weapon and the mods on it go into my inventory, how do I put the mod on another gun? when i go to the mod it just shows an option to build another one

Can someone explain stealth in the game to me? I think I picked up a perk for it, but then I realized I don't have a freaking clue how to be stealthy? Does it just mean you're harder to spot walking around or is there like some sort of sneaking mode?

Do you have to be at the max relationship level with your companions to do their quests? I can't seem to find anyway to begin Nick or Cait's quests.
anyone know which companions have quests attached to them, so im not "wasting time" lugging the "wrong" ones around?
I know for a fact (because Ive done them) that Nick and Curie have them. Cait might not, I had a chance to romance her and she likes me alot but no quest (im not 100% sure tho, I didnt get a perk from her)
any others people are sure either way?
edit: Strong almost certainly has one since he keeps going on about the milk

Nice, going to have to try that.Man I love the combination of dog meat and lone wanderer.
I do place a lot of the blame on the plot of urgency and needing to find your son not meshing well in a game where you can go out and do anything you want and avoid the main story as long as you want.

how do i save kent? he just dies the second i open the front door... is the whole thing just on a timer?
I was bitching about the difficulty earlier but then i realized i hadnt put any points into rifleman, man my weapons actually do damage now! Now i gotta figure out how to get better armor, my combat armor just doesnt cut it anymore.
There is a dead Brahmin in the bedroom of my house. It's too large to move. How in Gods name do I get rid of it?

It stays at the settlement. With a perk, you can establish supply lines between settlements to share resources.
I really have no idea why they felt like they needed to have the game take place 200 years after the bombs.
It takes place in an entirely different part of the country from fallout 1/2 so there's no way they would even know what's going on over there.
The idea that 200 year old instant mashed potatoes, soda, and apples are edible or even would be readily available is crazy.
The idea that none of the trees would have grown back in 200 years is stupid.
200 years ago there were no buildings, roads, railroads, or anything but native americans in 75% of the area now known as the united states.
This is just such a stupid plot point and I cannot understand why they feel it's necessary to go so far away from the bombs but still be tied to the pre-war stuff.
I love the game but the creators of the original fallout had enough sense to be one or two generations removed from the war.
The writing is absolute garbage and that's even by Bethesda standards.

. I made a huge groan when you first come upon the town of Concord and you can still see that banner hanging over the street! Like it wouldn't have worn away over 200 years! The world design comes off as lazy because it doesn't seem like Bethesda bothered to think through the setting of the game.
Awesome, that sounds really useful.
The whole design of the world just doesn't make sense! After ~200 years nature would have erased a good majority of human settlements, not to forget the absolute destruction the nuclear bombs would have wrought. It should just apply it without having to build another one. Keep in mind, mods are gun specific.
Maybe try transferring them to the workbench, that shouldn't be necessary but it's worth a shot.
EDIT:
Just reread. Be sure to remove the mods BEFORE scraping them. I believe mods get scraped as well if you don't remove them.
Thanks guys! They don't. Scrap a weapon, and it goes. Mods and all.
Don't forget the comic books that survive 200 years exposed to the elements.
It's just so stupid becuase it all would make sense if it was 30-50 years later.
Meanwhile there is literally zero reason for it to take place 200 years later. Picking 200 years does nothing for the story or plot.
I think i just completed the game.
Few never-ending missions left :|
Now what
There are many "burnt" versions of the comic books lying around.
There's a power armour suit in here, how do I get to it? There's no way to open it.
I don't get why you and others are so absolutely butthurt by this.
Do you over analyze every detail about every game you play just so you can rip it to shreds and claim how unrealistic it is? If so, I feel bad for you. Gaming must be awful for you if your definition of a good game is 100% believable and realistic.
You can take a pill to completely erase any long term effects of swimming in radiation filled pools of water, giant bugs can sling radiation-laden maggot goo at you, you can just collect nuclear cores and swap them out of metal exoskeletons, etc, etc, etc, etc etc upon the hundreds of unrealistic things you can do in this game.... and people are crying about the timeline about THAT being so unrealistic. lololol.
So they're impervious to wind, rain, insects, ultraviolet, but not fire? That makes even less sense.![]()
