Found a 10mm pistol that has explosion damage, so I fully upgraded it, this combined with the 60% damage bonus from the gun nut perk means I am pretty much one shotting everything I can find!

So I've become a bit OP!!

So maybe my biggest annoyance with this game so far is the music.

Did they literally just re-license 90% of the same songs from fallout 3?

The atmospheric musical tracks were honestly one of the things I was looking forward to but instead it just seems like it was an afterthought for Bethesda and that's a shame.

My search for Piper has turned up nothing. She is at none of the settlements, and not in Diamond City. I have a feeling that when I sent her away, she fell off the Prydwyn, broke all of her limbs, and has been drowning in the bay for a few in game weeks as I searched for her, doomed to relive the pain of death again and again as an immortal NPC.

Before I just use the console command to send her to me tomorrow, does anyone have any other suggestions for finding a missing companion? I'd like to think of this as the Search for Piper quest, and don't want to cheat if I don't have to.

I'm almost certain Stronk hasn't stopped talking since I recruited him a dozen hours ago. I get it bruh, humans are weak Strong is cool.

Just out of curiosity if he keeps saying the same phrase he might want to talk with you.

I was considering getting him and making him reach max affinity but he's the hardest person to level up affinity for a stealth character, and his max perk is so specifically tied to health it isn't worth it for me since once I reach that health I'm either dead or healing

How does stealing work in this game? When I steal something in a room even though there's nobody around and I close the door, as soon as I leave the room the whole town aggroes me.

Just got old guns quest for minute men should I do it or this is a point of no return type ?, Because I want the brotherhood as my main faction ..

that doesn't seem right.

Make sure you are crouched and that it says 'hidden' before you steal anything. If you're standing you can't guarantee your status isn't 'detected'.

I get a feeling there's a bug when you send people away from the Prydwyn, I sent Nick away from there to Sanctuary Hills and he's nowhere to be found.There is some journey time to factor in as the have to walk to that location but I have waited for ages and nothing.

Going to have to find an old save and lose 5 hours play to get him back.

Maybe build a bell at whatever settlement you (think you) sent her to? That thing gets missing people to pop out pretty easily.

I know that I've been sending almost all of my companions to Red Rocket, which is a small settlement area and they still get lost there. Seems like the only consistent way to get them to appear is with a bell. When using the bell, I once saw Piper basically materialize and walk out of a room that I had just searched. I don't know how the hell Bethesda borked the companions, but they did.

It's not really cheating when the game is broken and buggy.

I got to level 20 today and I sill have only completed 1 main plot quest. I think I'll start doing a few of those now.

For anyone interested here are my initial SPECIAL stats (which I've not touched):

Code:
Strength	2
Perception	3 + 1 early bobble head
Endurance	5 + 1 from S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Book
Charisma	5
Intelligence	8
Agility		2
Luck		3

And here's how I've spent my level up points so far:

Level = Perk
============
02 = Lone Wanderer 1/3 (15% less damage + 50 Carry Weight)
03 = Lifegiver 1/3 (+20 Health)
04 = Hacker 1/4 (Hack Advanced Terminals)
05 = Locksmith 1/4 (Pick Advanced Locks)
06 = Toughness 1/5 (+10 Damage Resist)
07 = Locksmith 2/4 (Pick Expert locks, REQ LVL 7)
08 = Lifegiver 2/3 (+20 Health, REQ LVL 8)
09 = Hacker 2/4 (Hack Expert terminals, REQ LVL 9)
10 = Toughness 2/5 (+20 Damage Resist)
11 = Scrounger 1/4 (Find even more ammo)
12 = Scrounger 2/4 (Find even more ammo, REQ LVL 7)
13 = Scrapper 1/2 (Salvage Uncommon components)
14 = Lead Belly 1/3 (Less radiation from eating/drinking)
15 = Fortune Finder 1/4 (Find more caps)
16 = Fortune Finder 2/4 (Find even more caps, REQ LVL 5)
17 = Lone Wanderer 2/3 (30% less damage + 100 Carry Weight, REQ LVL 17)
18 = Locksmith 3/4 (Pick Master Locks, REQ LVL 18)
19 = Auqaboy 1/2 (No rads from swimming and breath underwater)
20 = Lifegiver 3/3 (+20 Health and Health Regeneration, REQ LVL 20)

The only one I kinda regret getting so far is Lead Belly. I'm not sure I needed that.

Does anyone know of or know how to obtain the base_id for the 'FLL3 Turbopump Bearings' quest item ?

I am unable to progress the USS Constitution quest due to the falling through the world bug at the Corvega assembly plant.

The console command to advance the quest works, but without the item I cannot give it to the NPC to progress the quest so he just keeps asking for it.

Thanks

How's this build working out for you in regards to weapon efficiency? Low perception and low strength usually makes for characters that are not great at fighting, which this game has a lot of.

So I was very impressed how
Corvega
had multiple
(4 I think?!)
Ways to enter, which drastically changed your luck infiltrating safely.

I was not at all pleased with the frame rate inside there on PS4 though omg, it's the same issue as outside sometimes when there's smoke or fire but you can't avoid it indoors there in some spots. Vats to the rescue!

It's like a transparency issue or something bleck!

Other than that I am about half way through, I took a few trips since I uh wipe the place empty as I go lol.

I am also looking forward to clearing out
Lexington
these places are so big, and have so much stuff I need to loot and haul back it's gonna take me forever but I love it haha!

I'm not really sure, to be honest. While I don't feel like my weapons are as strong as I'd like I also don't have all that much trouble killing things besides Deathclaws which are bullet sponges. Raiders and robots feel like pushovers. If I ever get overwhelmed (which is rare) I put on Power Armor and just blast my may through with a shotgun.

I do miss in VATS at medium to long range so I usually just get close to enemies before I use it. As for having a low strength, I've not noticed any downside because I never use melee weapons (except on Rad Roaches) and I can carry a lot thanks to the Lone Wanderer perk.

Little over 20 hours in and level 25 now, still having a blast. Got this from a legendary Raider tonight.

I'm such a fucking idiot. After 35 hours I just discovered if you press X (Xbox controller) on a dead body you get a full list of what they have on them and how they stack up to your equipment instead of just pressing A and grabbing it.

God damn it.

How do you do this on Kbm?

I find hacking is quickest by clicking the top 3 words and if it doesn't unlock, backing out and going back in.

I click three times than I find closed brackets which usually nets a reset on number of tries back up to four.

How is this still not explained in the game, lol. It has been this way since Fallout 3 and there are still people that don't know about the brackets thing.

I loved The Witcher 3 and put 120+ hours into it.
Playing Fallout 4 is a whole other experience. There is literally stuff everywhere and the sense of exploration and adventure is greater.

If only it was bug-free and had better animations. I could play this type of game forever.

try typing
Code:
help "Turbopump" 4

for the base id which should be 0009139F

then
Code:
player.additem 0009139F 1

And you should be set. Get used to using the console to fix Bethesda's games it's part of the experience at this point.

Had a nice moment yesterday reminded me what I like about these games, in the hotel in Good Neighbour I met
The Vault-tec sales rep who is now a ghoul
some cool conversation options there.

Uhhhhhh......... won't a critical hit from a Fatman is a guaranteed kill anyway...? Not going to be anyone left to get frenzy about after a critical hit from a Fatman, hahaha.

Well, I suppose some enemies can withstand that, huh. Especially in higher difficulties maybe.

Did it earlier. Doesn't really work well with weapons though, unless I'm mistaken. It does the +++ and -- ranges, but only your currently equipped weapon, so you still have to go through all your weapons.

I don't really bother with checking stats on equipment. Whatever looks good gets worn.

What's the best food source I can grow?

Purified water if you're near a waterbed. Actual food um....mutfruit and tatos because you can make it into vegetable starch for much needed adhesive.

So Vault
81
is so dramatic. One thing after another, like those cheesy tv shows. Love it.

So uh. Just got a full set of x01 power armor. I assume this is supposed to be a hard fight
against a sentry and an assaultron
but with the electrified serrated chinese office sword that does 50% more against robots, and a little touch of my crazy sneak level and perks I one hit killed the sentry.

Sweet. Armor be mine.

Got a double shot legendary rifle.

So my sneaks attacks are like...insane now. Extra damage I'm getting:

+ 15% from Bloody Mess
+ 50% from Sandman
+ 250% from Ninja
+ 100% from RIfleman

Only thing I can't 1 shot is a Mirelurk Queen. She takes 3 shots.

Yeah I was reading the description and thinking the same thing lol. So far the only enemies I've ran into that can survive a Fatman are Deathclaws.

Yeah, some of the legendary weapons are seriously overpowered!
