Word. Even though they are just video game characters I think we should still show some dignity and respect for them. They are pretty and cute so please don't let them become porn stars.

Yeah. Well, I don't think dignity of made up people is much of an issue, but I wouldn't want them to go nude either. Quite happy with how it is now.

You know what I mean. I just don't think it would fit at all with the theme of DoA/NG/X.
It is more about dignity of the people who design the game (and also those who play it). I really don't know how to say it properly but I would feel really weird playing a game with nude girls, inappropriate even.
Considering the level of care that Team Ninja puts into boob physics generally, I think it would exactly fit with those series tbh.

Realistic body movement is one thing, somebody else would do it anyway sometime in the future. But full nudity? I don't think I could get over that.

Same. And I don't have any problems with nipples or whatever. But they have no place in DOA at least.
For Extreme, I think this is better to hint and tease. Different from all the other games similar to this one where there's nothing left to the imagination. I understand the other point of view on the question though.

Well, they can't sell the game in Japan anymore if it has nudity.

I guess, yeah. I wouldn't judge them as harshly as "no dignity" because I wouldn't do that for people who produce/consume actual porn either (I'm sure you aren't doing that too, since you noted having trouble expressing it.) A lot of the charm comes from the titillation alone and I'd agree it would be weird if it suddenly became explicit. That and I don't think being more nude makes something automatically more sexy, so that goal can be achieved without getting naked.
Pretty subjective thing, though. Not trying to judge anyone personally.
I wasn't specifically talking about this game, I was jumping off your point about games (which I branched out to media in general).
Good boob physics doesnt mean they should go nude IMO.
I don't think I said that but the idea that it doesn't "fit with the theme" is laughable. It's been a fighting game with the distinguishing feature of boob physics for years.

Thank you for understanding. I just hope there are still people who see this game more than just a fapping material, if I can be so harsh. I mean, I know that DoA series is famous for this but apart from that is in an absolutely gorgeous fighting game with the most fluent and fun combat system I have ever experienced in a fighting game, I just hope this game can be like that is some fashion, a game about very pretty ladies but with excellent gameplay.
Because it attracts more people than it turns away, no other reason besides that. But full nudity would sink this game (I think) and would leave a very sour taste when people would see anything come from the main series be it Dead or Alive or Ninja Gaiden.

The distinguishing feature of the fighting games was the triangle system. The physics are an aesthetic choice.

I know this is funny to say given the context but all the work that went into this game is amazing (Modeling, texturing, animations, etc). While it would never happen it think it'd be hilarious to have this game at GDC or some other conference. It'd just be great to listen to someone talk about all the technical and artistic stuff that went into this game to make it look great, all the while it's pictures of boobs and butts jiggling while swimsuits slowly fall off.

Doesn't change the fact that in every game, canonically, Ayane has always been one of the biggest. Only top 5 now, but she was top 2-3 before (just below Tina if I remember well).
Also, pretty sure that despite the base bodies being the same, there is some differences in some details going through code (hence no visible difference if you just rip the models out).

Distinguishing the game to laymen not from other fighting games systems. And Namco has reinforced that distinguishing feature by releasing scores of revealing costume DLC and in their marketing videos and their spinoffs. Namco has been celebrating the cahracters sexuality since the beginning more so than other high-profile fighters by far.
Just talking about profile statistics.
I actually see quite a bit of difference there.
Also, I think the purpose of the diagram is to find compatible body swaps for costume switching, if I recall correctly. It doesn't necessarily deal with some nuances between the models.

Yeah, DOA5 is rife with asset re-use garbage. There's really nothing they're doing that's all that impressive past the skin stuff, which most devs would probably consider pretty limited use.

It's so blatant, too. Rose colored glasses must really be something, 'cause you shouldn't even need that chart.

It does appear there are slight difference though, maybe that was an old chart?
They share the same model (same height/arms/legs), difference is MR has "waist" and "chest" the sliders down to 0 and Honoka has them all to 10.
