Dragon Ball Super |OT| 28 Episodes Later

Trunks who never stops training, eventually reached SS2. Only for Babidi to come and using his minions (different from the ones we knew) to start causing havoc on the planet. Trunks defeats them all with minimal strife only to release Buu. Not being able to overcome Buu trained until he reached his most powerful form yet, SS3!

Trunks get his timeline's 16 as his buddy. Bumla through upgrades makes him stronger. Etc etc

But Dabura should show up and should be on par with Trunks. I could see Fat Buu getting killed by SSJ3 Trunks preventing him from transforming into Super Buu.

If Darbura is about the same strength as his Timeline 1 counterpart, and Trunks never stopped training then I don't see him being an issue.

Well, based on the episode summaries, we know that
Tagoma and Ginyu will be getting an extended fighting scene against Gohan and the others this time.

I still don't understand how even Scholar Dad Gohan doesn't obliterate these two literally in his sleep.

What if Trunks dies from foot rash because he stood in bad water for too long?

If future Trunks appears he might be back to try to reach the God levels because "X" is trying to destroy the earth on his timeline and he wants more power.

Maybe it could even lead to the Z gang to travel to the Future Trunks timeline and face it themselves.

You guys underestimate how hard it is to reach and Maintain SSJ3. Vegeta been trying for years and ain't get shit. Goku had to be dead to reach it.

Future Trunks my boy but that fool staying SSJ1

In the movie Frieza mentions that he's holding way back to avoid killing anyone, and that if he were actually trying, he could've wiped out the entire army in seconds.

May just be Frieza's memory of him while he was in his third form. He had no idea he could turn SSJ at the time during the movie either. It seems he still can't sense ki, he just knows his own army is probably weak now.

According to the spoilers though,
apparently Tagoma here will actually beat up Gohan thanks to Freeza's training. It seems like the battle will flow very differently from the movie's.

So wait, if i understood correctly,
blue super sayain is actually weaker than super sayain god?
(<- not sure if i should spoiler tag that, so i did it anyway just to be sure)

I was talking with a buddy of mine, and he was explaining it to me that way.

SSJGSS likely was at best just as strong as SSJGod in the movies. In Super though, considering some dialogue changes, it'll be stronger.

Even though they definitely slack, we did see Goku making Goten train in the final episode of DBZ so I'm sure they have to, they probably just don't have a big motivation to lol
Lol man i love those two(unpopular opinion i know) wish they did more, they both started out really good to me than just took a back seat

There was a tournament coming up at the time though. We haven't seen Goku or Vegeta training their children at all in Super. On the other hand, I guess at least Goten has been shown with his gi a couple of times, unlike Gohan.

I never thought about that. :( Don't wish bad things on my wai-fu plz.

You don't have to reach 3 to become more powerful. Both Gohan and Vegeta proved that. Vegeta more than likely saw no reason to due to the massive power loss just like he did with Grade 3 SS1. And 3 being some mighty difficult form to obtain was contradicted when Gotenks did it. Trunks should be able to do it easier than Goku did as well and it would be believable.

Blue is more powerful than God Form.

I'm so glad the ending won't be the same. The original ruined those two so hard.
The ending of Z is still canon.

And look at their physique; they're doing a lot better than Gohan.

Fuck all this bullshit with Gohan. The potential to be the strongest mother fucker of them all but nah lets not use him. I don't care if they have to do the mystic bullshit again to unlock his shit just do it.

Spoiler for After RoF
I hope Buu fails the exam and Gohan is made to compete, and gets some kind of power unlock to bring him back to what he was + SSGSS. But then again if Buu can't pass the exam I highly doubt Goku will.

He's a scholar like he always wanted, let gohan go

Gohan looks fine at the end of Z.

Look at his neck!
Wow, that panel really puts the two timelines in perspective.

Similar ages, same people, ruined world:

Future Trunks, you did good. Inadvertently unleashed an ancient evil way worse than the androids upon the world, but still brought about peace in the end

The gohan we needed not the one we....wait no we deserve that one..carry on

He can't sense ki, but he does seem to have somewhat of an affinity for gauging strength, an instinct Aside from his encounters with Vegeta.

The subs for this week seemed to suggest that Vegeta did indeed surpass Goku by a tiny bit during the 6 months with Whis.

I have yet to hear concrete evidence of that being the case. I even asked about it in this very thread.

They are doing better than Gohan, I do agree.

I'm still willing to bet its not canon.

I just don't think a character like Uub is going to matter.
Why should we care about a reincarnation of Majin Buu? It's not even going to be an interesting plot device by that point.

I'd hate to see the show limit itself to match the ending.

I agree with that. I still want Uub, as I see him as a being with unlimited potential.

They referenced the last two movies taking place before the last two chapters from the manga, which would imply that they were still valid. It's true they haven't referenced Super in a similar way (only said that it takes place after Buu), but, considering how recently the end of Z has been acknowledged, if they were moving away from it I'd think they'd have said something.

Besides, based on the manga spoilers for Super,
it does seem like they're sticking with the End of Z. Goten and Trunks won't be going to the Universe 6 tournament, but Buu will be there, which lines up with them being weaker than Buu in the end of Z.

IIRC someone pointed out reasons why the original ending is no longer canon.

The main element mentioned there is Super supposedly taking placing less than a year after the Buu Saga, which would mean that Pan was born earlier than in the manga. However, that's all just fan theory at this point. There's no official date for those early Super episodes, aside from them taking place "sometime after" people's memories of Buu are erased, which was 6 months after the end of Z.

Really, if they were deviating from the end of Z, why would Gohan's child even be Pan? If they wanted to make it clear that the ending wasn't canon anymore, they could have completely changed Gohan's child into a different character.

Such an shame. :/ Such a waste.
