The Wii was given the codename 'Revolution' and at the time a lot of people became quite fond of that as a name. Then when they revealed it was to be called the Wii a lot of people said 'Revolution' was the superior name
Since Nintendo revealed they were working on a new console, under the codename NX, it's generally been refereed to as that
How would you feel if the new system was simply called the Nintendo NX?
Do you think that's a good name? A bad name? Why?
Does anyone think they should keep the "Wii" name?
What do you think, GAF?
Edit:
Edit 2:
That's mainly for those saying they 100% will change the name from NX so the discussion is pointless

The Thwii maybe?

Edit:
Also we all know NX is a codename (which it says in the OP anyway) and they do always change them in the end, but the thread is asking if you like the name NX for the next system
I think it's a decent name, if that was the final name I'd be pretty happy, I was curious as to what others thought
Edit 2:
Without bothering to Google sourced info...
The codename for the DS was the DS.
In development it stood for "Developer System" (or something like that), but they liked the sound of it and changed the meaning to "Dual Screen" for the official naming.

Edit 3:
Bumping my own thread from last November
Now we're getting closer to the NX reveal, do you still think Nintendo will go with another name?
If they reveal the system in September 2016 to Launch in March 2017 does that give them enough time to put the new name out there?
Do you still like NX? Is it a good name for the system? Should they just keep it at this point?
