Again, the asian version (aka Hong Kong / Singapore / etc) will have full english subtitles/menus.
I'm also still pretty sure the Japanese version will have those as well, but it's understandable people are going for the former instead.

Journalists have acknowledged how extremely volatile the landscape is and publishers have acknowledged the controversy as well. It's strange that some people are now pretending that things aren't volatile and that K-T is just making up a fake controversy. I don't think people appreciate how much pressure publishers are under right now.

While I agree with you, I wish KT would stick to their guns for DOAX3 as they did in the interview you quoted. Their response was great, they gave their reasons for why they like to depict their characters as they do and made a point to highlight that most reasonable players of the game understand there is no malicious acts of misogyny or demeaning objectification going on.

Regarding what screens and footage we have seen, I want to see some Helena and Hitomi already.

Reasons to believe it won't have english:
- no confirmation from KT or any community guy (and no denial either)

It's easier to get JPN PSN money and games yeah, since there's a lot of websites and retailers available for that. It's in the interest of Play-Asia to not say (until post-launch) if the JP version has english subtitles since they are more expensive and basically the only ones with easy export of the asian version.
On the other hand, JP X2 had english subtitles, every JP version of DOA5 as well, and it wouldn't make sense in this age to make english subtitles for an asian version and not include them in the JP version (edit: only case where it makes sense is when the asian version is being released after the JP one).
 
Kind of weary of importing from a site like Play-Asia (not due to recent events) or AmiAmi because if they mess up the packaging it's easy to get hit with German customs charges and idiosyncrasies. For other fanservice heavy games like Senran Kagura and Onechanbara there was usually a reseller on Amazon.de that adheres to import packaging regulations and get through customs just fine, so I'm waiting to see if any stock this game too. Would've preordered already, given the opportunity.
 
There was a really interesting exchange in this old interview with Itagaki on DOAX2:

IGN: Is there by chance a trampoline game in DOAX2? We think that would be an excellent addition to the mini-games.

Itagaki: So we have to pick from a long list of minigame ideas and I'm pretty sure trampoline minigames were part of the initial list, but we didn't pick it. That's because of the kind of game that DOAX2 is; we have to be really careful not to make it seem vulgar. Certain activities show the women in a negative light.

I mean, these games are definitely about ogling pretty girls in bikinis, but with Itagaki around there was a sense of delicacy about it. We'll have to see how K-T handle X3. Some of what they've introduced to the series after Itagaki's departure has felt kind of gross and exploitative. I don't know if I trust them to pull it off! But we'll see.

Marie Rose, in particular, and how they portray her, doesn't seem like something that would've flown in the Itagaki years.

What actual game modes are in this so far?

There's volleyball, the pool hopping thing, butt battles and the usual photo modes from what I can see. I don't remember if there's anything else. I get the feeling the game will be light on content and minigames and modes will be patched or DLCed in over time.

Not sure where you're trying to go with this, but it's part of the gameplay, like it or not.

Pretty sure basic casino minigames will be back since there is still the same day phases.

Yea I really wanted her to be in the game.
I am sure they will find some way to add her later on... via DLC or a new version of DOAX3 like Ultimate or Last Round...

I had to do that as well. I couldn't support Indivisible in good conscience anymore after they revealed Tatanka and Tenoch - it's beyond clear that Lab Zero is focusing on a very specific kind of customer now.

It's beyond transparent the sort of image they're portraying with her; if having a 'petite build' was the only thing that could be construed as childlike about her, she would never have attracted such a fervent following. The entire reason she exists is to push the image of a sexualised underage girl as hard as possible without actually stating so - and judging by her success, they captured that market perfectly.
